Is Davies the new Platt?

Right I'm scared now - we've signed every player in the whole league. The last time we did this was under Platt and it went horribly wrong. What if it goes wrong?

I suppose theres always Notts County - but the fans on Sky Sports news all sounded so common, I couldn't bring myself to mix with those types, I'm from West Bridgford don't you know

Most of them played for us last season and proved their worth.

My only worry is that last time we brought in some loanees to stave of relegation (under Kinnear) and signed them up 2/3 turned out to be crap! Only Gerrard was any good!

Platt signed a few players who weren't used to playing in this country.
Also Davies is an experienced manager at this level Platt was a novice.

Totally agree.

And the players Davies has signed are pretty much still up and coming young talents, not some cart-horse type journeymen like Kinnear´s signings for example
They have still much to proof, their aims and targets are propably on more higher level than "just" playing at Championship-level and making a living out of it.

If things don´t go as blanned, the sale value of some of these young lads, might still raise like a lot in few years, unlike some of the old junk we´ve seen dragged in to the club during Platt or Kinnear era.

Bill Davies is a football genious....

David Platt's a f***ing idiot....

Need I say more?

I don't think its anything like platt, He signed loads of Italians and spent far to much money on players that wasn't worth it or didn't perform to there full ability. From the players Billy has signed most played for us last season so wont disrupt the team at all, all played well also so no need for them to settle in. The ones that haven't already played for us i believe will be excellent signings.

no

jesus, I was only asking.

Remember Rome wasn;t built in a day, but it only takes a second to score a goal and one gets born every minute

I think we are going to do a Leeds.

What change the MacDonalds sign to blue near the stadium?

We sign no one, everyone complains.
We sign a new team, everyone complains...

What he said

apparently dougie freedman told platt to 'jog on' , i don't think anyone respected Platt.

Platt was a f*cking idiot! Need we say more?

What makes me laugh is when he's on SKy Sports, the guy just doesn't have a clue. Also he signed a load of Italians who no one had ever heard of and never played in this league.

There is no comparison!

I'm not complaining, in fact I'm rather excited - it was only a question man

I'd be really interested if somebody could produce a league table post-1st January when BD took charge. I've had a quick look at some stats sites but can't see anything which will do this easily. Can anybody sort it? I think that bearing in mind we were probably mid-table or higher after the New Year, with similar players to now (plus additions and better fitness/fewer injuries so far), we can reasonably expect to perform at least as high as the period I'm talking about if not better.

Science....it's the future.

Or garlic bread.

On BBC rumours from the sun - How great would this be?

Erikson is considering taking David Platt to county to start his revolution.....

We were above Derby at the end of January, think we were 17th at that point.

On the 1st of Jan, we were level on points with Doncaster.

Our record post-Billy wasn't amazing, so I'm not getting carried away just yet. Yet. ;D

I think you need to change your username. Maybe to Chandler Chic ? ;D

To even compare Platt to Davies is f***ing ridiculous.

Also, Kinnear signed some quite good players in his spell here.
