At times tonight watching Forest passing the ball and playing with confidence reminded me of the football we used to play under Cloughie,

Please lets not compare the Two.
It's not fair on BD. He's his own man and deserves treating that way.

Cloughie is incomparable.

Hopefully Billy proves to be too. He's doing a f***ing good job, that's all that I care about.

Is Billy the new Cloughie?

No, he's Billy Davies.

Different man, different team, different era.

Could he achieve some of the success Cloughie did?

Who knows, but he's certainly going about it the right way. He's building his own team, who are playing the game the right way, and that is what matters.

Not at all. Billy's teams play boring hoofball. Only brings in 40 od year old journeymen and flukes 1-0 wins........................hold on !

If that's true, this must all be some kind of bizarre dream. If that's true, don't wake me up!!

I think it's dangerous to get too carried away in the euphoria of tonight's game and the way this season is going in general...

BUT

The parallels between the events of the mid seventies and now are quite startling - let's hope they continue.

If... if if if IF we have a promotion party this season, it's grey jumper day for sure.

He isn't the next Sir Brian and I think when people compare it, it can start putting pressure on managers, saying that I don't think Bill would take much notice.

If William is still here in 5 years and we are in the Europa League, even the first round, then people can start to compare.

Sir Brian Clough is a legend.

Billy Davies is a great manager. Who knows what he'll become.

Brian was a one off, a true footballing genius. Billy is very good at what he does, but he's not Brian. Never will be. Nobody will ever come close.

Having said that, Billy's pretty good :)
