About forests chances for the rest of the season. we really needed to sign players. our bench was appauling against derby and our starting eleven wasnt great. i am usually an optimistic fan but im genuinally fearful that forest will now go down.

Thoughts?

It's too early to worry I feel. Billy deserves credit for not panic buying as previous managers have all done. Doughty spent more money than anyone else in the football leagues this season but CC had all of it. Davies tried to bring in his targets but obviously it is felt he is not to blame for them not coming. We have loads of injuries at the moment and when some return we will be fine again.

Current injury list: Bennett, Moussi, Anderson, Perch, Earnshaw, Lynch , and Morgan still needs a hernia operation. It is too early to worry, Billy is the man to sail Forest's ship.

With this squad I can see us staying up, we will have the moose and earnshaw back soon. Plus we should have a dabble in the loan market, see what happens.

What makes you think we'll go down?

Against Derby the major factor in defeat was tiredness - those 11 players have played most of the four games in the last two weeks.

Aganist Cardiff we were facing a team that have lost only 4 games all season and are especially strong at home.

Before that we had a decent run of wins.

Charlton and, to a lesser degree, Southampton are slipping adrift of us.

Keep the faith and we'll be fine. If people start to panic then the pressure on us will build. Thankfully Billy doesn't strike me as the panicky type ;D

he doesnt strike me as a panicky type but the reason i am worried is the size of the squad. if these players get injured again after this spell we will have the same trouble again! we need at least 4 players in my opinion otherwise we may well struggle

No wonder my post count..
Yeah - since Billy took over, we've had a lousy game or two. The game after those lousy ones, he always surprises us with a decent result.

It's funny how weeks feel like months in football.

Earnshaw should be back for Saturday. My guess is he might well have been fit enough for the bench at Derby but little point in risking him.

Garner is back for Saturday and there's been nothing about Tyson being injured, he'd obviously ran himself into the ground, as he always does, against Derby. If Earnie is fit, expect to see Tys on the bench perhaps to come on in last half hour for Earnie to give us a nice late bit of pace.

I personally am not worried, I think our squad clearly has the potential and ability to stay up but it just needed, or needs, that bit of experience to help us out in situations like against the Scum. On the transfers forum, Capello has mentioned that there will be moves made for loan players, namely a centre back and winger/striker. It has been in the "transfer gossip" on BBC I think that we are moving for McSheffery on loan.

I'm afraid Earnie will not be back for Saturday mate, both BD and the article on the O/S have stated that none of the injured players will make the QPR game.

I am worried, as I think most of us are but there is f-all we can do about it. Lets just hope that our walking wounded can do enough in the next few weeks to ease that worry.

I remember about 6 weeks ago and as far i was concered, we were definately down, no question. We were the favourites with the bookies and couldnt buy a win. All of sudden we are 17th in the league.

Its a funny old game this and who knows what is around the corner

Bloody hell we only lost 1 league game to a good team and were edge out in the cup.

All doom and gloom again innit!

You're worried. It'll pass.

I'm worried about tomorrow given our injury situation but I think we'll be ok generally.

A few good loan signings would make me feel more certain in my assessment though :)

With squad that we have we are more than capeable of staying up. Just look at Southampton and Charlton, they are in a far more serious situation than us. Don't worry mate.
