If we stay up, what can we look forward to?

No wonder my post count..
Here's me starting another pointless thread, but it's a beautiful day up here in Manchester so I don't give a goats penis ;D

IF we stay up this season (big IF - I'm not counting my chickens until the mathematics work in our favour), what do you think we have to look forward to next season?

I'll start with:

A possible contract for Blackstock and Ando.
A prospective better sponsorship, as CapitalOne are leaving us after this season - although I'm not too fussed about that.

Derbys against both the Sheep and Leicester.
A trip to St James Park?
A pre season with Billy Davies bringing his own players in. :)

A bright future.

I think we can guarantee that Billy has got plans, and whilst he would like to sign some of the loanees he has probably got several other irons in fire. There are almost certainly people he will want to sign permanently who weren't in the market for a loan.

Two seasons ago Mark Arthur told us that the plan was to be in the Premiership in three years.

On that basis.

Promotion. Nothing less.

:)

Crowds around the 25k mark every week (assuming MArthur isn't a twat with the season ticket prices which he of course inevitably will be).

Mid-table mediocrity. Now that WOULD make a nice change! :)

Or all of us saying mid table mediocrity just is'nt good enough

BD seems to be the first guy to get into Doughty's knickers financially, so I really think we'll be looking at a spending spree next summer.

While the prospect of being a prem team again sounds great, I'd feel like we'd get kicked right back out again. I would love it, but I'm just too afraid we'd do a Derby.

I tell you what, I'd settle for that for a couple of years.

When he was appointed, I had a sneaky feeling that Billy Davies might be a cracking choice for our manager, and it turns out that while living up to type, Billy is leading us in  exactly the right direction.

He's said keeping us up would be the best thing in his managerial career, but like many who go every week, I can see the improvement of the side over the last three months, in tactics and play as well as personnel.

Good times ahead, I hope.

That is of course inevitable, but I think it would be the best thing for this club. Would be lovely to "have a season off" so to speak.

Well some games that will be exciting and should have a cracking atmosphere!

Us, Derby and Leicester all competing together, and maby a bit of Leeds as well!

Another fresh start and Billy throughout pre season to get us ready!

And most of all, a new season supporting Forest in the Championship!! YOOUU REDSSS!

A mid table finish or above (hopefully), some great signings, some decent football (hopefully), A trip to St James' Park, and some cheaper ST's (probably impossible but you never know)

I'd expect there to be some heavy spending this summer ! Maybe a few buys from the relegated teams and a full 'BD pre-season'.

Based on the ideas that we do stay up, I'm actually looking forward to next season IF we stay up !

Just remember a few seasons ago. We had beat Yeovil at home in the play-offs and were all busy talking about how we were getting our Wembley tickets and where we were meeting up.

Your chickens are not hatched yet.

Apart from Calderwood of course, who managed to pry near enough £4.5m out of him you mean?

I really do not want to tempt fate and comment on this yet - even with the Norwich result going in our favour today.

If we beat Blackpoo next Saturday, I may be tempted though!

12th spot in the league, a decent cup run, and Forest playing some nice football with the likes of Blackstock, Anderson and Gunter signing up would be a glorious season in my book. Followed by 2010/2011 League champions, and lower mid table premiership in 2011/2012 :)

If we went up next season (And for the record im not even contemplating that as our team is still a long way short of those kind of aspirations) I think we would go straight back down. Im more than happy to settle for steady improvement with good football.

Lets stay up first though, eh?

A standard mid-table finish would be nice for one season.

The last time we weren't ina relegation or promotion battle was 7 years ago.
