If we go up, who can we poach from relegation?

No wonder my post count..
Just watching match of the day - relegation special. It's got me thinking - who would we think about grabbing from teams going the other way?

Maybe the creation of this thread is just an excuse to put Jimmy Bullard forward. I think he'd fit right in here. Bit injury prone but he's got the experience.

Any others you think you'd want from west ham / hull / burnley / Portsmouth etc?

Our team is too young to have Bullard in it. He'd give the poor lads nightmares.

Bullard is on massive wages and like you said way too injury prone to be considered.

Some of the players from west ham and bullard are out of our league to be honest even if we go up. More realistically i'd take fletcher and eagles from burnley oh and alexander to coach earnie on pens. Plus any bugger with a left foot

If we are to get promoted then none of the players in the bottom half of the Premiership should be out of our league.

Those are the kind of players we need to compete in the Premiership.

If we go up I cannot see us paying much more than £20,000 a week for any new signings.

Depends on whether or not the plan to increase parachute payments and extend how long you get them for goes ahead... because if it does, then it opens up opportunities for promoted teams to perhaps take more risks on wages and transfer fees.

That said, even if that is the case I can't imagine Forest would be too reckless in the transfer market if we were able to secure promotion (understatement alert ;) )

It's another attempt to give promoted teams more of a chance to compete. I really wouldn't think Forest would really "go for it" either though.

In League one , we go after championship players , in championship , we go after premiership players , in premiership , we'll go after champion's league players - wait for desirory bids to go in for Ronaldo , Ronaldinho , kaka , pato from our "ambitious" board and then as usual , we'll get nobody and we make do with what we have.

Indeed, which is why it'd be worth being one rather than competing against them... much as I loathe these systems if they are there we might as well take advantage of them!

Cant think of any others as West Ham dont look like they are going down.
