If so?? Then?? What??

Is it true that Capital One will be leaving us as a club next season?

If so, then i am sure that they will pay extra for the 'Capital 1 Corner' to have there name associated with the name?

If our new sponsor doesn't want to pay extra for this part of the Club, Then will this mean that we need a new name for this section of the ground?

Thoughts and Ideas?

It used to be Pinnacle Place.

I imagine it will take the name of the sponsors-to-be as part of the sponsorship package.

Or we could just call it the Upper Bridgford :p

I did think about that before posting but then has it Been called that before? Surely it would be better to have a different name?

My season ticket says Upper Bridgford Stand on it.

I think I could cope with it :D

They should call it LTLF Lodge 8)

Why would it? It is part of the Bridgeford stand after all.

Maybe we should change T5 to 'Flagman's Lair'. :D

He deserves more than a corner though.

Amen! I don't see why they can't just rename a stand. The "Brian Clough Stand" has had three names while I've been going down the CG. Perhaps the "main stand" could be the Peter Taylor Stand, it would be an improvement as "main stand" is a pretty bland name.

It was something that was raised at a fans forum that Alex and I attended a while back.

Mark Arthur basically suggested it would be inappropriate as Taylor defected to Derby from us.

In touch with the fans, or what?

The next sponser will take it. I am fairly sure it is part of the overall price the new sponser pays because it seems to have been the case that when the change sponsers they change the corner name.

I wonder who our next sponser will be. I wish they would change kit makers to someone good like Nike. I dread to see our new away kit next year I bet it will be just the same as that horrible new England kit.

No-one reacted stronger to Peter Taylor's "defection" than Cloughie, he always regretted not settling his difference with Taylor.

Even a ****wit like Arthur should realise that without Clough and Taylor Nottingham Forest would never have amounted to anything and we'd be looking back on winning the FA cup 50 years ago instead of the European Cup 30 years ago.

Are there any grounds for a fans movement to try to convince them otherwise?

It was the East Stand before it was rebuilt. That end of the ground was traditionally the "East Stand" but that obviously sounded to common for a stand with Executive Boxes in it.

I imagine it is something that would garner support. Probably the most appropriate channel to push through any suggestion like that through would be through the supporters club, as they have annual updates with the board.

I would certainly be supportive of it.

If only I was a member of that elite clan (haven't bothered since 1979 - only joined then to get a cheap coach down to Wembley).

I'm not either, to be honest. Although I don't think it is as inaccessible as you imply lol

A free pen?! Why wasn't I told?!

I used to be a member of the Gedling Branch many moons ago, mainly as a convenient mechanism for tickets/coach travel as t'was when I was too young to drive.

There is an air of self-importance that does pervade some of the facets of supporter's club life though, the politics were a bit annoying.

I was in the Arnold branch, I think I went to one meeting. Damn handy for a coach down to the League Cup final, my dad let me go with my older sister but only if we went with the supporter's club.
