If only Paul Konchesky hadn't got himself injured towards the end of Jan... Nicky Shorey would have returned until the end of the season.

You can go earlier than that.

The FA Cup winning team. The European Cup winning team.

All argued to have been dismantled too early. Bit before my time though so can only go on what I've read!

...Des had not deflected that Brown free-kick into our net during the play-off semi-final against the Blades. Sheff United were galvanised by that goal and the rest is history.

The Gazza one hurts the most though, oh and Paul Harts disallowed goal in the 84 UEFA cup semi-final against Cheat-derlecht.

If only Man United hadn't got George Best in 67 we would have won the league years before Cloughies arrival.

If only the City and people of Liverpool didn't exist

Reading there comments, they really are a bunch a bastards!!

I imagine if the boot were on the other foot we'd react similarly.

Whether or not his comments might have had an element of truth to them, they were ill-considered - particularly when voiced in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy.

I thought they were first in his book, which was publiched closer to 93, I seem to recall.

If the Liverpool fans weren't killed by Liverpool fans, who were they killed by? I've never understood that. It was Liverpool fans at the back of the stand pushing forwards, wasn't it?

Who killed the Juventus fans?

Who killed the Juventus fans?

That was the fault of the stadium, and UEFA for taking a flashpoint final to such a crumbling ground.

The ball was definitely over the line in 1990 against Man Utd, but I remember something about us beating them in the cup the previous year where there was a disputed goal line clearance/goal that stood.

He made comments in the press at the time, as was his way... it was inadvisable.

You know my general feelings on the subject, but sometimes there's no harm in showing a bit of decorum.

In all fairness it was a mad decision on UEFA's part to hold the final in such unsuitable surroundings. Fans of both clubs were literally able to pick up crumbling parts of the stadium and hurl them.

However no-one made the Liverpool fans charge therefore it is pretty much all their responsibility.

Shame on you Kier for claiming that the Scousers were in some way responsible for their actions. As you well know, nothing is ever their fault.
