If it's the playoffs

as things stand now(I know wer'e 2nd)... it could shape up to be wales(cardiff and swansea)v east midlands(forest and leicester)...wouldn't that be fun!!!,although I suspect our nemesises (blunts) could have a say in the final pecking order

still think west brom will have another dip along for newcastle, I feel we've had ours and will start to go on another run again pulling back into the top 2 properly without worrying about games in hand

Do we fear anyone if we are to finish in the play-offs?

Think Cardiff can kiss goodbye to promotion hopes, they're far too inconsistant and liable to concede to really worry any of the other three teams. Wouldn't be surprised if they were the team to falter and fall out of the top six.

Leicester are hot and cold also. Can be a bit of a ball ache to play at home as they get stuck in but as we've shown they can be taken apart.

Swansea might be a bit difficult, but don't score much. If you can get a draw at their place and bring em back here we should do em.

So, in conclusion, we're going up regardless. Roll on.

the thing is I cant see anyone beating us over 2 legs, so id say we would have a trip to wembley at least

We need automatic promotion, thinking about the play-offs just brings back the memories of that horrible semi-final against yeovil. anyway if we can start playing like we did in our 19 game unbeaten run we will have automatic promotion without a doubt.

Let's hope so as being said I think we'd do any of those sides over two legs. But let's still think about getting automatic first but we're very much in the race still :)

If we are in the playoffs its likely we'll finish 3rd so I think we will play either Blackpool, Leicester or Sheff Utd. All of those are difficult games, especially as the team who finish 3rd is on a bit of a downer after missing out on auto and the team who finish 6 are on a high for scraping in the playoffs.

Personally I think it will be Blackpool who are a better side than people give them credit for. I'd love to see us buy Charlie Adam to weaken them.

If we continue with the record of not conceeding more than 1 goal on our travels in everygame til the play offs then I think we will be ok. Will have to look at how we do against Cardiff at home in a few weeks because I think we might end up against them because they will start to slip down. Automatic would be better though

I still have a secret fantasy of Derby making them. Getting to the final with us, and ending with a proper Roy of the Rovers win for us at Wembley !

Using a points per game basis on current home/away form we would finish 3rd just 1 point behind West Brom.

Using the season's points per game home and away we still finish 3rd but further away

I noticed the possible East Midlands v Wales playoff battle when i glanced at the table yesterday. Bloody foreigners! Coming over here, playing in our league, taking up our playoff spots! lol

The only team that slightly concerns me is Swansea. On their day they can be a good side, but on our day we can be a great side.

Automatic promotion anyway lol

Swansea have gone up in my estimation after the Derby game the other day, or at least the player who 'almost ended' Robbie Savage's career. (why, did he punch him in the mouth?)

This is also the big problem with cardiff. In a 2 leg play off they are likely to lose one game 3-0 and win one 5-0. They are all over the place and seem to change each week.
I hope we dont get them in the play offs, and if im honest I think it will be swansea winning the play offs this year.
They are consistently very good, and play great football.

Not as consistant and good football as us or West Brom. As shown by the table and our win at their place.

Thats based on results though- not quality.

I'd much rather be in our position, and have our ability to grind out great results as well as play the great football we can- which when we are on form is by far the best in the league.

I can't see Swansea winning anything this year - they just don't score enough goals!

29 goals in 32 games is pathetic and, whilst I agree that they play good football, anyone who was at Swansea this year will tell you that their football is slow and lateral rather than incisive like ours.

I know that they've only concede 21 but Forest have only concede 24 and Newcastle only 22 - that whilst scoring a lot more goals.

I think if we can grind out another win at Leicester, we'll be well on our way to playing better football. We looked more confident in the last game on the back of 1 win, we'll look better again at Leicester after 2 all being well. I think the quality will come back as we put another run together, and in the meantime, we can keep picking up points by doing what needs to be done.
