If Forest tickets were free

What attendance would we get (assuming that the stadium was unlimited size)

Would this make the atmosphere better, or worse?

Just a random trail of thought from watching the World Cup

In current league probably about 35k for a few weeks then back down to about 28k. If we were doing well in premier league probably about 45k including decent away followings.

...until people got bored or we turned shit again and it would probably head back down to 35k

Even if the tickets were free, there'd still be travel costs for many people.

Exactly. Plus food and drink. It's never going to be a "free" day out.

I don't have a pint or any snap so that doesn't come into it for me, I do however get ripped off by parking.... And I refuse to pay over 30 quid for a ticket at this level....

Money is one thing, but there's an emotional investment in supporting Nottingham Forest that is as fragile as a butterfly's wing. That can never be overstated.

Typical fans. Being offered free football but still moaning about travel cost and stuff...

How do you think we'd do if we had unlimited cash and signed every player in the world? Do you think we'd get in the play-offs?

Can you remember Forest for a Fiver?? Was that around 10 years a go already when they last did that or was it during the League One years?
If they dropped a game to that price again it would definitely sell out

If they dropped the prices a bit and the City Ground sold out every home game, it'd be fantastic, but in todays business world, and the fans demand to splash out a few million on this player and a few million on that player, it'll never happen.
