Monkman
John Robertson
It's weird how desperate some are to see him fail.
Our record signings sometimes have that impact on certain sections of our support. It's weird how desperate some are to see him fail.
Give the guy a break - he was off the pace no shit - it was his first match for 6 months.Got walked past 3 times in his first 5 minutes on the pitch. He's not up to PL standard.
Yes and had 10 ok minutes against a team in the bottom of the Championship - followed by another 3 weeks of intensive training before a good hour on Saturday - even he started slowly and then got better before running out of energy.Danilo has been out just as long?
It is true though. I want him to succeed. Wonder if you rated Freuler as highly. Not true. We know you don't rate him, you don't need to make shit up.
ThisI don't really see why it has to be 'people want him to fail' or 'its just the price tag that makes people not like him' when we're telling you why some fans don't rate him over and over again. Its because he hasn't played well for us yet.
There's a massive difference between playing matches for a losing relegation battle team and playing for a confident, winning team though. Maybe he improves us massively now. Who knows?
He has played enough for us for me to form a preliminary judgement though, which is that he is very neat on the ball, has a great first touch, and is strong, but needs to up his speed of thought and ability to sprint back and cover defensive positions.
Categoric proof a section of our fan base have zero interest in judging him objectivelyGot walked past 3 times in his first 5 minutes on the pitch. He's not up to PL standard.
Its actually the opposite.Categoric proof a section of our fan base have zero interest in judging him objectively
Well I didn’t see him get walked past 3 times, post the clips to change my mind and I’ll judge it objectively. Its actually the opposite.
Unless you are suggesting that objectively, this didn't happen.
Your response seems to me proof that people will ignore stuff that objectively happened if it doesn't agree with their pre-existing assessment.
I'm at work (allegedly) so I don't have access to any clips unfortunately.Well I didn’t see him get walked past 3 times, post the clips to change my mind and I’ll judge it objectively.
Is the game available to watch again online?Well I didn’t see him get walked past 3 times, post the clips to change my mind and I’ll judge it objectively.
I'm willing to accept that it might just be my eye and particular things i'm looking at that make him seem worse to me than he actually is.He has had some good games. To say otherwise is just wrong. Was leading the way in terms of tackles and interceptions for the whole league in the first few matches of the season before his injury.
Also recall him having a really good game at Newcastle last season (Wood hat trick game) before having to go to AFCON.
Injuries and illness have held him back ultimately - but fingers crossed they're now behind him.
It was meant to be live on Forest TV yesterday, and me and the Mrs had planned to watch it.Is the game available to watch again online?
Not just us, spurs treatment of johnson, practically stifled his development. Like they are getting some sort of enjoyment out of saying I told you so, when it's their team that suffers from him not being that good. Our record signings sometimes have that impact on certain sections of our support.
It's weird how desperate some are to see him fail.
If I had one wish granted before I die, it is that Forest supporters stop pilloring their players. He definitely looks nowhere near the quality of what we paid, but I'll still back him to prove otherwise. This time next year we might be looking at him and saying what great value he was.
