Be good to see both Danilo and Sangare get proper run outs against Exeter. The sooner they're both fully up to speed, the better.

Almost certain that's what will happen.

Definitely a player who is off the speed - what a great opportunity to give him those minutes. Will take time. Love having Danilo back, middle of the pitch is loaded with talent and depth now. Hope we can find another winger and striker.
Definitely with some huge games coming up. The same 3/4 players have been playing all season and were definitely looking a little leggy at times. Being able to rotate/replace with freshness will be great.

I really hope he stays fit, you can’t say he doesn’t care - he’s at the back

Nobody said he doesn't care, he's just not been good enough. I hope he proves me wrong but I can't see it.

Not sure I entirely agree.

I could be wrong (and this is based purely on an impression I got rather than anything substantive) but, especially last season, I do think a fair chunk of people thought he didn't really want to be here.

In some ways, perhaps you couldn't blame them. People were understandably excited when he signed as he was viewed as a real coup - a player above the level of a team struggling at the bottom - so you did wonder why he came here when you'd think he had better options. The idea that EM made him an offer he couldn't refuse was the working theory in the minds of many I imagine.

Obviously following on from that, his first season didn't go to plan. He had some good games but was always getting injured at the worst possible time - and seemed very lethargic and passive in other appearances (later revealed to be on account of contracting malaria). Could easily be mistaken for a player who didn't give a shit on that basis - especially when the team in general is doing badly.

Plus (and I think this is perhaps more a factor than people realise) is that we didn't really ever see much of him in the media. In fact, that recent feature on his return from injury is pretty much the only time I remember hearing him talk since his initial press upon signing.

Seems like he's a fairly reserved guy in general and will often keep himself to himself - but I do think it helped show fans in general that he definitely does care about his place at Forest and is doing his upmost to get back fit and in the team.

And I hope he does. Because he's got the potential to be a key player for us if we can keep him fit.

Fingers crossed he finally gets a bit of luck.

That reminded me that pitch looked a little bare and they had obviously used sand in some areas which you don’t often see at prem grounds. Presuming with rain, high river/water levels it gets tough for out ground staff at this time of year. Got pretty much all of Feb now to work on it before next match.
