Also, please give this man the Testimonial he deserves, which Platt the prick deprived him of.

Also, someone make a banner saying "David Platt is a fishfaced racist" to hold up there.

Agree: Woan was gutted in the interview and couldn’t believe how badly he was treated by Platt.

I’m aware this interview has been posted before but please watch as it’s a great listen and shows some of Woan’s best goals especially in view of today’s legendary win.

Woan was Burnley’s assistant manger at the time - 2015 - and his love for Forest shines through:

What a brilliant interview he was one of many heroes of mine from that era, I was 12 when he joined and had a season ticket with my dad, looking back it was just a fantastic time to spend with your old man. A belated testimonial is a no brainer. Pearce, Keane, Walker, Bryan Roy, Collymore, Clough, invite Klinsmann, see who's healthy enough to play and have the rest on the bench, endless other options. Get a charity or two involved, it would be a lot of fun.

I would walk there from Germany to see that.

Agree: what a brilliant interview and I’d love to see a testimonial for Ian Woan.

Honestly, we really need to find a way of giving Woan his Testimonial. Maybe in a seniors charity match or something?

Chalked up another yellow card from the sidelines yesterday didn't he? Love his passion, love the fact he's back at the club. Legend
It was because he keeps standing next to Dyche in his technical area and talking to him.

Dyche said post match he has complained about it.

The rule was brought in a while ago to stop huddles of people standing in the technical area.

I can’t remember if I’ve asked this before, or mentioned it. During the league one days me and my dad went to a Tranmere away game. We had a few pints in the pub next to the ground, I think the pub is actually called the Prenton, or the Prenton park. Anyway, this old boy approaches us, he’s clearly a local, and says he is Ian Woan’s father in law. He spun some yarn about Woan’s son being one of the best golfers at his age group and would probably be a professional when he is older. He was a nice old boy and I think we got him a pint each.

So the question is, does Ian Woan have a son who is now a professional golfer, or was ever likely to be? Or did this old Scouse chancer just con us out of a couple of pints 😆 Fair play if he did!!

Ai says Harrison Woan is a professional golfer and PGA Professional.

Quick google search - there is a golfer based in Northants called Harrison Woan who appears to be professional but not young enough (95) I'd say to be described as "will be good when he's older", and not sure if it's Ian's lad. Though looks like his x has reposted a lot of stuff about IW.

This would have been 2006 / 2007 and I got the impression the kid was probably 12 or 13 so 1995 might be about right age wise. You’d think we would have heard about it before.

The old scouse chancer (or maybe not) just said he was one of the best in the country for his age. We just thought we were getting scammed for a pint but he was a nice old chap so obviously we didn’t give a shit.

More likely to be his father rather than father in law. His father lived on the Wirral and his father in law is American.
