Iain Turner

Hmm, Seen him play a few times... Looks a bit shakey. I would rather have Smith in goal than him!

But, we'll see what he can do for us, if he does sign.

He does look decent actually, doesn't he? I also note that his profile says that his contract with Everton is up in 2009, so that probably means this summer. Definitely a loan with a view to a permanent deal if this is the case.

I get the feeling Paul Smith has played his last game for the club.

A Wednesday suporting friend of mine thinks he's brilliant, although he hasn't played a first team game for nearly 2 seasons.

There was a time that he looked like a promising goalkeeper though it's hard to comment now as barely anyone's seen him play for so long.

That'd be fantastic.

Davies and Turner Entertainer sitting for a press conference, unveiling him as the saviour of Nottingham Forest!

Seriously, though, Iain Turner is a decent keeper as far as I'm aware and I'd be pretty happy to sign him.

Did anyone else read the article, then carry on reading when it said "Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has turned down an offer to..." :D

I was like "what the hell, thats ambitious" :D Then I read it all

Iain Turner isn't that great, better than Gamble though!

So with my previous post of seeing how Smith reacts to someone actually being able to replace him (not being pretty much untouchable due to lack of quality in the replacements) this one should prove quite promising!

Fail to see how you can rate him good or bad when he has not played 'at a level' for while........not getting ready to adopt yet another scapegoat already surely???

Don't like the look of the image from the mail link.

interesting...only on NEP and not everton or forests OS! could be another piece of NEP sensationalism or maybe someone there does know somethin!?!?!?

also noted he is contracted until 2011 so no cheap deal in the pipeline...tho they do have 4 decent keepers (howard, nash, turner, ruddy) so dont think they are short of cover or options (unlike some clubs lol!)

last keeper we got from em did the business and became a perm fixture (paul gerrard in case anyone doesnt remember) and that didnt turn out too bad....good luck to him if this does come off! could do with the kind of run Sheff went on when he was with them!!

still feel a centre half was more needed than another striker....tho wont be sayin that if marlon signs and bags some key goals before season end!
