I was thinking more along the lines of a one off event. Especially with today being such a saturday and a great day weather wise. Perhaps a big screen showing the game or something with guest appearances from a few memebers of the side? Something along those lines. Could even have it at the city ground for saying that it dosent matter now what state the pitch ends up in as it's no doubt about to be torn up anyway.
It would be a cracking day out and a big money spinner! Big missed opportunity.

It's a memorable day for me as it's 30 years to the day I started supporting the mighty reds. One look at them on TV I was hooked and sill am through the ups and downs and further downs.

Be honest, though, is anyone remotely surprised that the club has in no obvious fashion marked this event?
I like the idea of the big screen in the Old Market Square...

Still, they've got the best part of a year to sort something out in time for the next 30th anniversary...
