Seriously.

The way him and earnshaw are playing is incredible, the amount of chances they give each other and the goals between them as a strikeforce so far.

But watching his interview on Forest Player just now and you can see his confidence and desire to play for Forest.

I don't know the ins and outs of his time at Sheffield Weds, but they have really let this one slip out the net!!

I live in Yorkshire and a lot of my Wednesday mates say the same thing, he'll give you one great season, some saying 6 months then he gets bored and then is pretty useless. As I said to them as long as he gives us everything for 6 months I'll be happy with that when we're in the premier league.

Indeed!

Some Owls have short memories, He was consistantly good for Wednesday for all but the current season.

No he wasn't. He's a cracking player when on song but his form was in-and-out for the best part of 18 months before he came to the City Ground. I don't know whether it was coincidental but the approach from Burnley in July/Aug 09 seemed to unsettle him. The ball just wasn't running for him and he wasn't getting into threatening areas and there were a lot of calls for him to be played in his other position of on the right wing. His body language looked terrible and it was noted on a number of occasions that he was heading straight down the tunnel on 90 minutes instead of coming over to the Wednesday fans as he'd done in the past. Something was certainly amiss. To his credit though, he never publicly moaned, always got on with the job and worked hard for the team (I'll admit that some Wednesday fans weren't crediting him with this at the time). He'll always get a hero's reception and will never have to buy a pint in S6 for his part in the win over the Blades in Feb 09 though, that is for sure. One of the best Wednesday players over the last 5 years, that's for sure. But we didn't miss him in the form he was in - Mellor and Morrison were doing a much better job - and he deserves to playing a part for someone. I'm glad it's for a proper football club - just make sure you appreciate him.

An honest appraisal there Dessie.

And I think we will look after him; he already seems to have become popular both with the squad and the fans.
