Nigel Clough is a Derby fan, always has been a Derby fan.Week in Week out said:I loved him as a player and having been a Forest fan since he was eight years old he will always be a Forest fan in his heart.

I think people forget that his dad is pretty much exactly the same. Spent most of his career at Forest, had wonderful times, but deep down still loved Derby and saw that as his home. He was certainly on record as saying Derby was the best job he ever had. Do we hold this against Cloughie, and give him any of the ridiculous stick Nigel gets these days? Of course not.
Nigel has another club close to his heart, with good reason, and it happens to be our rivals. Deal with it, he doesn't become a c**t by default you know, that's an 8 year olds mentality.
KirkbyRed80 said:that's abit unfair!
would you have stayed at a club who your dad had taken from mediocrity to European glory then kicked him in the teeth?
it was made almost impossible for Nigel to stay after the board refused to sack the t**t who came out in the papers slating Brian, was his name Wooton? tosser anyway!
weasel said:That's true. But it's also ridiculous to say Nigel should dislike 'Forest' for anything that happened to his dad anymore than he should hate Derby for Mr. Longson's treatment of him. A club is its fans, not the chairman of the time.
Well he was brought up there and I'm guessing he would call it his home town. Good luck to him.Corentin29gv said:He was a very good forest player at the begining of the 90's, but I can't understand how he can prefer Derby instead Forest ?
When he came to manage Derby, I was very disappointed for him. But, I think he's doing a mighty job in derby in my forest opinion ;D
KirkbyRed80 said:I don't think he dislikes forest, he came back on loan later on, it was just extremely hard for him to stay and face the smug t**t everyday
Gary_Baldy said:He despises Forest, get over it
