BILLY Davies today insisted he is not ready to walk away from the challenge of steering Nottingham Forest into the Premier League.

Seriously though, if he wasn't bothering to stir the pot, to push for the best squad he can get his mits on, we'd all the throwing the lack of 'A' word at him.

Let's hope he gets his way in January. We'll just have to put up with his interviews being samey until then ::)

Just let the on the field actions be the only concern now.

I'm starting to blockout all this "supposed" in-fighting

Of course he's not going to leave. Why would he? All he has to do is make his position untenable (as is his speciality) and he get a nice bit of farewell cash.

...but until that time, er..come you reds I suppose. :)

If Billy had the choice of 'Premiership with Forest' or 'Manager of Rangers' which do you think he'd choose?

"We are trying to get promotion to the Premier League. Let's focus on what we need to focus on."

To be fair to him, hes bang on- thats really all thats important.

Question: What's the difference between Billy Davies and a Boeing 737?

Answer: A Boeing 737 stops whining when it's left East Midlands Airport.

:)

I think this is a very pertinent point made by one poster on thisisnottingham...

If he's still here on 1st Jan, which I doubt, think of the damage he has caused for bringing in new players.

Clubs knew last summer to demand £3m for a £2m player if Forest showed an interest, in January they will demand £4m because they know that Davies has put a gun to his club's head.

Yet another own goal from Billy, to make getting what he wants ever less likely.

the fact that he makes everything so public is very stupid imho and it surprises me from him, because, kid yourself not, if Forest fans will watch/read these interviews and videos online, then so will managers and chairmen of other football clubs (even though they already knew it probably anyway). Ever since the end of last summer 2009, the whole of Forest's transfer policy and continual statements in the press (Marthur etc) have beggared belief to be honest, so is it no wonder that this has only served to exacerbate the situation, rather than aid it?

I'm lost for words in all honesty.

Will Billy resign then if he gets new signings in Jan and still finishes mid table?

Another great point. Because IF he does get new signings in January, then the pressure will be on him more than ever to deliver (almost stirred up by himself, as much as by supporters or the club itself). He has dug himself a hole imo.

I do admire his commitment to the club and his ambition that he wants to be matched by the club 'putting its money where its mouth is', but then what? And what are we as supporters supposed to prepare ourselves for? If new signings come in, is the P word then to be EXPECTED come May? And if that doesn't happen, then are more 'stellar' signings the order of the day in the summer? And if they materialised then surely he could not demand any more and the P word would be a given next season. Davies has already expressed how he faces 'financial constraints' at the club - I can only see this ending one way.

I think what he means, is that we've not spent seriously in 15 months, and if we want to get into, and stay in, the Premier League, that's not going to be good enough.

But then Ian Holloway might have a different view of that ...

Or, more likely, clubs who demanded £3m for a £2m player last January will have seen that Forest outright refused to sign anyone unless it was on the cheap so they will have to settle for a take it or leave bid of £500 next time around.

Yesss.......

Ally McCoist will be the next Rangers manager.

Everyone knows that, yet some prople on here can't grasp that.

Repetitive.

Given the repetition could've probably gone in with the other Billy Davies thread too.

That lad in my sig as got much chance as anyone else getting the job this summer. Billy has a long wait for that job and they have zero cash so he not be to happy there.
