Is that possible though? Aren't you only allowed four short term loan deals at the club at once?

With Lynch being the first, Osbourne the second, that'd only leave two spots for Lita, the CB and the GK... or does Lynch not count?

You can have as many as you want at the club, but can only name four in the matchday squad, I think.

Anyway, wouldn't Lynch be classed as long-term as his loan was three months then extended by six?

How do you know that? Bit sad, isn't it?

Clubs are allowed as many loan as,but only 5 can be named in the 11 at once. anymore then 5 loan in starting 11 clubs get fined or points taken off i think.

I remember leeds playing 6 in ldv match one season and hereford we're playing like 5 in 1 match in league two last season.

Think its 5 on pitch at once with 1 on bench or just 5 in starting 11 plus subs.

I was told a lot more about BD's future plans but will only post it if this turns out to be genuine.

Oh, don't be such a tease.

Tell us now, and if it's true you'll be hailed as the second coming (of Capello)

Loan explanation by some bloke across the river

From speaking to other players and fans, it is clear that there is some confusion on just what the regulations surrounding loan deals are, so I did some research (apparently that is what potential journalists are supposed to do)! As I understand it (and please correct me if I am wrong), there are two types of loan deal; standard and emergency. A standard loan deal is for either a full season or half-a-season. Clubs can sign a maximum of four players under the age of 23 on a standard loan deal and then a further four players over 23 on a standard loan deal.

The duration of an emergency loan is a minimum of 28 days and a maximum of 93 days and there is no limit to the amount of emergency loans a club can make. There are various provisions for parent clubs to recall loaned players but I won't go in to them because, quite frankly, they are boring!

It's also worth noting that clubs are only permitted to name five loan players (standard or emergency) in the match day squad of 16 players. I hope all this clears it up for you!

MASSIVE changes in summer, including Mccleary, Garner, Morgan (!), Cohen out.

Could believe Garner and McCleary at a push, but wouldn't have thought he'd shift Morgan or Cohen.

So, me and Brolin were both right. Kind of.

Hmm... I think I'll wait and see on that one. Thanks for sharing, though, and I'll give you the credit you're due if it happens.

I really hope you're wrong, though.

Me neither, I'm just reporting what I heard. Cohen for good money though I think, to a prem club.

Who told you this?

I don't want a name, just whether it's someone inside the club or not?

Fair play chap, can't fault you for passing on what you hear.

Does sound like the work of a rumour mongorer, and not necessarily you, who has it in for BD and wants to spread some negative vibes by saying we're getting rid of the crowd favourites.

Inside the club, but through a mate. Sounds genuine though, he reckons if not all the loans come through it will be at least mentioned that we made bids. The summer stuff sounds crazy to me myself, but there you go. We will see. 2 million was the figure quoted for Cohen btw, a bad deal in my book. Fulham he thinks but isnt sure.
