How to become a Premiership Manager

kreemie

First Team Squad
Step 1: Be appointed manager of Nottingham Forest under Nigel Doughty

Step 2: Take the club to perilous new lows, culminating in near-relegation or ideally relegation itself

Step 3: Assure that your sub-standard performance results in your being sacked

Step 4: Bide your time.....

Step 5: Lo and behold.... like a bolt out the blue, you will receive an offer to manage a Premiership team!

Yes punters.....it's that easy! For successful case studies please refer to the careers of Joe Kinnear, Gary Megson, Paul Hart and (future replacement for Sir Alex Ferguson) Colin Calderwood.

In what way is Paul Hart a Premiership manager?

Also, how did Hart take us to new low?

Calderwood took us up, not down, also, Calderwood has more chance of winning Miss World than he does of being a manager in the Premiership.

Nope, Avram Grant will be installed as their new boss very shortly. Although, that in itself is more amusing than Hart failing again...

Paul Hart was awesome!

I would love to have seen him go on to get the bigger jobs with Premiership teams, not cretins like Kinnear and Megson.

It was just a joke. No need for any serious analysis.

Obviously it's a freak coincidence but you can't help but feel slightly gnarked that 3 sacked Forest managers are "in charge" of Premiership clubs at this moment!

Sorry hadn't seen the other thread. Wouldn't have posted otherwise.

Hart isn't "in charge."

Megson is hated by every single person he comes into contact with.

Kinnear is in a hospital bed.

It is a bit strange but I suppose Kinnear is a glorified Caretaker manager, Hart will most likely only have a few games leaving Megson.

Hart was and still is a legend and was a great and well respected servent for the club. Seeing his name alongside Kinnear and Megson is ridiculous :w**ker:

If Calderwood replaced Kinnear, then it'd start getting silly.....

Careful CC could end up in charge at Newcastle if BFJ isn't allowed back to work!

Wouldn't that be absolutely brilliant though!?

Damien Duff would be playing at left back, Steve Harper would be up front, Luke Chambers would be bought for £16,000,000 and played at right back all the time, even though he clearly couldn't hack it, Lovenkrands would get his big break in goal with Obafemi Martins and Jose Enrique as the cenral defensive partnership in front of him.

You forgot selling off a third of the squad and relying on the youth-team every time there is an injury...

I was a fan of Hart. Given Billy's comments about not buying players but developing the youth team instead, it might have been better to have the fella back here.

I don't like to pick on people who can't spell but I can make an exception for you.

In response to your point, Hart may well have been a nice guy who did well for a while but don't forget the 18 match winless streak. He wasn't exactly successful at Barnsley either. In fact, as a first team coach he has achieved less than either Joe Kinnear or Gary Megson....hence he is not even close to being a candidate for Pompey manager.
