How much money does Nigel Doughty really have?

I've a few reports that Mr Doughty is one of the wealthiest chairmen in the football league. Anyone know what his estimated fortune is? :yarr!:

Est'd £180m not including what the cub owes him...between £18 and £20m liquid assets - again est'd.

This time last year his fortune was est'd at £250m. Credit crunchin' hell.

Down to his last one-hundred-and-eighty-million pounds, eh...?

He needs to speak to Sir Fred Goodwin about pensions....

I've stolen his wallet. It had £10.50 and a picture of Mark Arthur in a heart-shaped frame.

Not as much as Mrs Doughty

Er...no. Like I said...

Doughty = £150

Ecclestone = £2400m

Briatore = £120m

Therefore chairmans wealth...

QPR = £2520m
Forest = £150m

And like has been said, most of Doughty's will be tied up.

£150? I'm richer than Doughty! I'm off to buy Wycombe Wanderers!

QPR is owned by:

Lakshmi Mittal - 4th Wealthiest person in the world, sitting one place behind Bill Gates and 11 places above Roman Abramovich. Current estimation $45 billion
Flavio Briatore - estimated wealth £120m
Bernie Ecclestone - 24th Richest person in the UK, estimated wealth £2.5bn

Collective value, depending on currency changes and variable asset worth, is in the region of £35 billion - although various sources dispute certain valuations and stuff, this gives you a little bit of an indication as to how far off your comment about being 'close to' the QPR chairmen Nigel Doughty actually is.

Doughty is currently lited in the £150m range.

QPR are roughly 230 times richer than Forest. To put that into perspective, if you have a paper round that pays £1 for half an hours work, that puts you on £2 per hour. Someone on 230 times your money is on just under £1m per year.

From FourFourTwo Feb '09's 2009 Football Richlist:

#36 Nigel Doughty - Age 51, Club Nottingham Forest

Fallen giants seek expert in turning round faltering firms. Oh, they've already got one. One promotion to the Championship seems scant rewards for the man who has sunk £42m into Nottingham Forest, and one look at the table suggests they'll have to do it all again next season. Doughty knows all about turning round ailing companies, having run West End-based private equity business Doughty Hanson since 1985. In that time, the company has invested more than £17.6bn in more than 100 companies and profits rose to nearly £52m on £92m sales in 2007. Doughty's 62.4 percent in Doughty Hanson is worth around £125m and his salaries - minus spending on Forest - take him to at least £140m.

Total: £140m

Interesting Davies says on the OS today that Derby weren't moaning about him when he got them promoted and earned them £100m. That's a good chunk of what Doughty is worth, just for getting promoted!

Shows how important it is for Forest to get back there.
