I think we'll sign two at the most.

It'll probably be none and Shorey's loan extended or whatever we decided was actually possible.

will be happy with majewski permanent and shorey to end of season.

saw oneil talking yesterday about him needing to sell before he can buy which may be a positive sign on the shorey front?

Shoreys wages may be a problem as opposed to his fee. But villa may want him after looking poor in defence last night.

Billy I'm sure has given the panel a list of targets with prices nearly 3 weeks ago, it is now up to them to try and close a few deals, cannot beat buying from a position of strength.
Billy will not want another Derby situation if we go up.

With ND & this panel , i'm not so sure. When your own manager have absolutely no clue what's going on with transfer targets or anything going on behind the scenes , it doesn't speak so well of the club.

Do you honestly believe what you have just posted . What knowledge do you base this type of statement on. Are you serious ?

Billy knows exactly what's happening - he chooses to not discuss it with the press probably mostly to take the questions away from him as well as limit his culpability should the acquisition not go according to plan.

It's actually a win-win situation for him. If we get the signing everyone praises Billy and if we don't then we all blame the panel.

Not that I mind blaming the panel :D

However, it does seem that a panel which is able to do fantastic business in the summer months becomes almost cumbersome in the January window. But, like so many other things connected to Forest, this season has been so unlike many others of recent memory and we should all perhaps have a little more faith and a little more patience. Lets not start slinging mud until the deadline is passed.

The problem the panel face now is, we are not looking at players from clubs needing to sell. Our lofty league position combined with the fans and clubs aims make the targets current clubs operate in a financial climate we are not yet accustomed to.

To answer the original posters question, my guess is between 0 and 3. Quite possibly 0, buying in January is a lot harder than summer and i can see us doing similar to last year by bringing in loans after the window shuts (maybe 1 permanent signing though fingers crossed).

Yep , he's preparing to get screwed again , isn't he ?

Watch as the window closes without a single signing and then Billy will start throwing blame to the media.

We don't need anyone to come in but we should certainly be securing a permanent deal for Majewski and extending Shorey's loan (if he's reluctant to join a Championship club on a permanent basis) with a recall clause for Villa if O'Neill is adamant that he could need him later on in the season. It is vital that a deal for Majewski is wrapped up now before other clubs start sniffing around and try to unsettle him, whilst Shorey has slotted into the side magnificently and has shown real quality.

There really will be no excuse if no deal materialises for either of these players.

Its a new dawn at Forest, its a new decade and its time some Forest fans removed their heads from their anus.

Everybody knows that no serious business is conducted till the last few days of the window.

More faith is required.

All managers are stringing a line along at present about how much money that haven't got etc

I would expect 2/3 solid pieces of business to be concluded this window, with perhaps one real, Shock & Awe, announcement.

Have patience please ;D

I cant see anyone coming in, i think they may well try to extend Shorey`s loan until the end of the season, other than that

Brilliant. What a difference a year makes!

I'd like to see a left full back please. Preferably from Aston Villa.
