How many points do we need to go up?

Forest are 2nd with 49 points with 20 games to play. so how many more do we need to either go straight up or get a place off place ?

do we need a late 80's point finish or maybe need to get into the 90's or maybe we can go up with a lot less.

I think we need to win at least 11-12 more games and not drop to many points from the others, but of course depends on what the others to do, and we still need to play a few others again like Newcastle.

I'm going to say we will go up on 89 points


of course we still need another win to avoid relegation by getting to the famous 52 points limit :D :wink:
 
We need 3 more points to be safe from relegation 8)
 
Historically 79 has been low enough, and other years 89 has not been enough...
 
Well based on the past 5 seasons we need:

71.6 points to reach the playoffs
80 points to be promoted
84.4 points to win the title.
 
Around the mid-80s is enough normally but it really depends on how many other teams in the top 6 will get dragged into the fight for a top 2 spot. It is too early to rule Sheff United, Swansea and Cardiff out completely and if they all take points off each other, it could even be as low as 80 points. Put it this way, we still have to play all of the top 6 again with the exception of the baggies and they are all games that we could lose.

We'd need 85/86 (depending on goal difference) if West Brom continue to accumulate points at the same rate.
 
At the moment we need to win every single game and are still not guaranteed promotion.
If all the top three win all their games except newcastle against us it will be a question of goal difference. :ph34r:
 
If we continue with our form over the past 18 games we will finish on around 97 points -> Title winners.
