so how do people feel, do you still think we have a big eneugh and good eneugh squad to get promotion?

are you happy with the lack of bussiness?

are you confident that now theres alot of clubs around us have added faces we can achieve a top 6 finnish?

will billy stay?

does MA need ****ing shooting?

needs to be a voting option on this thread.

Optimistic
Distraught
Dont care

or something along those lines.

Personally Im seriously unhappy and just dont understand how we are going to challenge any sort of promotion or even top half push this season with the tiny squad we have and now more than likely a very unhappy manager

The board have disappointed and failed me. That's how I feel as a Forest fan. Surely it's clear to see we need improving, and not only that but we need depth. Injuries to Anderson and McCleary have left us with Cohen and Tyson, who are not wingers, the 2 who will surely be starting against Millwall. And that isn't even half the problem.

Two seasons now, we have performed exemplary and outstandly well (playoff seasons) and have them followed by a summer of lack of activity and a lack of strengthening.

Something has to be happening behind the scenes and it isn't fair to be dragging it out this long. Us fans need some answers.

What is the betting, even after Billy has come out and said loan signings aren't needed, that we will have another interview saying we still have a loan window, so we urge fans not to worry.. Sorry but having one of the smallest squads in the league, 4 games in, players already tired and a few players injured, we could have at least made 1 signing to cover what we have.

Oh and in regards to Billy... I will be surprised if he's still here by the time the next Transfer Deadline Day comes about.

ND needs to come out and tell us why he has not backed the manager.

I feel totally dejected to be honest, although I don't know why, taking into consideration the last few Transfet Windows. lol

Lost complete and utter faith in the club, but not Billy, If we Fail to gain promotion/obtain a play-off position this year, it will not be the fault of a manger who has been unable to improve his squad. Whilst other clubs are improving, forest are standing still a recipe for failure.:(

TAP OUT!!!!!!!

I feel that BD will be gone unless they have some s**t hot loanees waiting in the wings but I just cannot see it!

I'm now very skeptical about our chances this season. Teams need momentum and we've clearly failed to cover our existing talent let alone improve on it. Now, perhaps it's a 50/50 between other clubs taking the piss to the extent Mark Arthur says they are and his idea of a fair price being a bit unrealistic but there's too many at the club with too much experience for the latter to be a realistic proposition.

I think we'd do well to get some good Prem loanees who've missed out on their 25 ad this is where Pleat may earn his money. What disturbs me more than the lack of signings is the infectious paranioa amongst the fans currently. I know Football attracts a lot of thick people but at the moment it's getting too bogged down in codswallop on the forums (not just here) and frankly, much as with my matchday support of an unbolstered, fragile and momentum-free side, I'm looking at taking a little less of an interest this season.

Loyal fan or otherwise, I'm not going to spend my time in a poisonous atmosphere, my field of work exposes me to enough conflict without having to do it 'for fun' as well.

Of course, we could improve drastically in the league or the forum could return to the chirpy "we're a bit **** lol" ethos of certain recent periods in the club's history.

So, how do I feel now that the window is shut? Like there's far better and more important things in life. I'm off to see about buying some kittens.

feel very flat about things now and really can't see us doing too much this season BUT it's very early days and you just never know in football

Disappointing but Forest never fail to surprise. I'd still be surprised if we get no one in in terms of loans, but yes, after all the spiel from our chief exec about Whittingham and Pratley, it is frustrating to say the least. Wish the club - and MA in particular - had kept their gobs shut. I'm not that surprised though, as any chance that the club can achieve the same goals (signing those two players) for a fraction of the price either in January or the summer, and they will do it.

Ultimately I feel downbeat, but we've still got a decent team and we'll still win most of our home games this season. If we are there or thereabouts come January/February, maybe we can get a bit of momentum and peak at the right time. You red!

This is the most disappointing summer since we held up the white flag before the season had even started when Campbell was sold and PVH subsequently went on strike.
This complete lack of any investment makes absolutely no sense. Either Doughty is gambling that BD can get us in the playoffs again and that we will somehow win through this time, or he's trying to force Davies out of the club.
Either way it's a pathetic response to finishing 3rd last year.

I am currently considering how much money I am willing to spend on Forest, if the club doesn't progress.
I'll be over it in a week or so though....

Looks like Marthur's pre-match interview at Burnley really ****ed everything up. Thanks a lot Mark.

Not sure if this on its own was the whole reason we have failed yet again to bring anyone in, but if Marthur had one ounce of integrity he would resign tonight.

Anyone who believes for one moment that there is only one person who would invest in Forest, i.e. Doughty, is mistaken as evidenced by numerous take overs of various clubs in the last 10 years. Doughty is happy for us to languish in Division 2, that is clearly obvious by his actions, or inactions to be more accurate.

As long as Forest remains his train set, we will not progess. He is the worst chairman in the history of this club (3 years in Division 3 is his legacy) and I hope I live to see his removal.
