how damaging has deadline been

I dont believe that we have lost out because we failed to sign loan players. The fact that WBA won yesterday means we have lost second! Davies' said himself that they have been trying for weeks to get players in, but clubs arent willing at the moment! The transfer panel gets alot of stick but look at the bargains! Paul Ando £250 Paul McKenna £750!!! We have the panel so we dont spend ridiculous amounts of money on Joe Garners'. Surely any football fan can see that. I was just as fustrated as anyone when we didnt sign players in January. Do you really think Victor moses will come to Forest when Prem clubs are banging on the door? Pratley and Shorey are huge loses, but we have had bigger gains!

Dont forget boys and girls........ we are looking at finishing 3rd and we are disapointed. Its a great acheivement!!! Aslong as we sign Majewski i aint too fussed if we go up this season. Next season we can have a good go at it with a bigger squad! YOU REDS!

So why does Davies think these so called high quality players are going to come to forest?
It's all bollocks they probably haven't even looked and the reason i say this is because there is no way in the world you couldn't find a left back better than Perch, and a injured one at that lol Forest have no intention of bringing anyone in Fact, we will have to wait for all the summer activity again and then when thats complete don't expect anyone next Jan either.

What a load of shite!

If we dont go up im not to fussed, whats the f***ing point of supporting a team if you dont want promotion, are you retarded?

Balls to what we would have accepted at the start of the season, facts are we were in a good position for automatic in January and needed to strengthen the squad, which we failed to do and that is now biting us in the arse.

We needed a left back as soon as Shorey went, and we have faild to get one, i dont accept for one second noone is available.

With mckenna gone we are missing him badly, and have not got a replacement.

All we need is another injury in defence and its crisis time, for all our forwards if one of the big 2 get injured, again its crisis point, forget Baldric/adebola, just not good enough.

With the loss of shorey and key injuries we are way, way behind where we were around december, and have had ample time to rectify but failed.
To say noone availble/dont want to pay to much just does not cut the mustard, its a 60 million payday at stake adn the way we have been playing the last couple of months we havent got a cat in hells chance in the playoffs.

Someone please tell me the last time we had a good game and a convincing win?

Stan left nut!!!

Have you been told that you wont be around in a couple of years or something! Whats the point in a shoe string side going up and getting dicked every week! We will need to sign around 7 quality players to stay up!

Or spend one more year in championship build a really good squad and have a better chance of staying up?!?!

I know which one id pick, get a grip of yourself you tart! Im a Forest Fan through and through!!! I just want to see Forest in the Prem and doing well! If thats next season or the one after im willing to wait!

Lack of additional players is probably the worst outcome since Lee Glover was picked to play in the FA Cup Final......

Shite!

we had a good chance this season to go up, which has been pissed away now, leaving it to the lottery of the playoffs and a dramtic loss of form and confidance.

We have no guarantee what we will do next season, or the season after, and so on and so on and so on.

Not disagreeing with the fact that we needed a left-back but if we went up this season we will have to buy big to even come close to staying up, what does buying big mean? 5, 6 or 7 new players, how long for them to settle in and no guarantee that it would work, we come down again and are left with a huge wage bill. We don't buy big and are dicked into the wind week in week out, the team disintegrates, any kind of winning mentality is shot to pieces and the nucleus of good players are picked off by lower prem teams, end result; back to struggling in the premiership
Going up would be a disaster for us this season, consolidate what we have, build and grow for next season, next season the league should be weaker than this, Pompey will go into freefall, Bumley, not too sure about but don't think they will be as strong as either Newcastle or West Brum and hopefully Hull will go down, given their finances, they will be fugged, the only spanner would be Wet Sham going down.

Of course, I would love to see us beat someone in a Wembley final, but I would prefer to see us go up next year with a greater chance of staying up.

The problem I feel promoted via the play-off's is the delay between certain and actual promotion. This gives the top two a head start on recruiting new players for the season ahead.

I have never looked for a long time, but how often has the Play-Off winners stopped up and made a fist of staying in the Prem, against a side that has developed a head of steam, rather than a flash in the pan experience, claw propmotion, get hammered come back down and fade away.

I think all agree that a side that has the look of a team who can hold their own once promoted, is the desirable option. With the current squad and unknown recruits mmm ?

Burnley won the play-offs last season and look to be going down.
2007/08: Hull went up through PO and stayed up.
2006/07: Derby. Relegated (bottom -11 points)
2005/06: Watford. Relegated (bottom - 28 points)
2004/05: West Ham. Stayed up (15th - 41 points)
2003/04: Crystal Palace. Relegated (18th - 33 points)
2002/03: Wolves. Relegated (bottom - 33 points)
2001/02: Birmingham. Stayed up (13th - 48 points)
2000/01: Bolton. Stayed up (16th - 40 points)
1999/00: Ipswich. Stayed up (5th - 68 points)
1998/99: Watford. Relegated. (bottom - 24 points)
1997/98: Charlton. Relegated. (18th - 36 points)
1996/97: Crystal Palace. Relegated. (bottom - 32 points)
1995/96: Leicester. Stayed up. (9th - 47 points)
1994/95: Bolton. Relegated. (bottom - 29 points)
1993/94: Leicester. Relegated. (21st - 29 points)

So there you have it. Since the advent of the Premier League, only six teams promoted through the play-offs have stayed up.

In 92/93 Blackburn finished 4th after winning the play-offs but this was down to the huge backing given by Jack Walker.

The play-off final is just 19 days after the end of the season this year so I don't think it will make too much difference.

Other years, of course, it has been on Bank Holiday Monday - a considerable time later!

My suggestion would be to sack both bd and dp (isn't that a porn term?)
At last, something in a football thread I know about.
DP = double penetration, that's two gentleman friends, in both front and back bottom. It can also be dirty panties but that's kind of specialist and can get expensive.

BD is shorthand for bondage. In little letters it generally means a few ropes and a gag, nothing too major. In Capitals it means chains and rubber which again gets very expensive. Hope this helps.

Stans Left Nut!

We have signed a few players to build on last season which was dismal! Now if we were to sign 4 more quality players dont you think we'd have a better chance of going up and staying up?

I fully understand what you are seeing about the transfer window and that not signing any players has harmed our chances of automatic. But we cant change that now!

Surely you see where im coming from! No supporter wants us to do a derby, because that is what possibly will happen!
