How come?

August 15th we play West Brom at home and Nottingham Rugby Club play Leicester Tigers in a friendly at Murder Lane with a 4.00 p.m. kick off.

Surely if they can provide policing for two events (Tigers have a lot of travelling support) it should have been possible to leave our match with Derby at 3.00 p.m.

Typical though really, the football fan is viewed as the devil personified by the police nowadays.

Correctamundo. That's why Police normally change the date of big fixtures.

It's fair enough if you ask me. When was the last time trouble broke out after a rugby, cricket, etc. game? If the Police do not take these actions they will get absolutely hammered by those effected if trouble does kick off. In short, football fans cannot be trusted to behave after a belly load of beer.

Judging by the abundance of youngsters who were in A Block (obviously because the Corner was closed), it's a very fair assumption by the police.
