Rumor or truth???

Sol turned down WBA as he has had a better offer by Forest, the reason being Forest want Bale, Sol wants to get back wth a Prem team, and the two clubs then can come to an agreement over the 2 players in Jan. a bit of you scratch etc etc

Fact; this has been said to me by 3 different peeps, Fiction, I'm a bit lost on how this would work as Sol could only be a loanee

Some sort of loan swap deal I'd imagine.

Why any Premiership team would want Sol at this point is beyond me though.

I realise the story at Notts is more and more bizarre by the day, but I think that would top the lot. Loan a player to another club who doesn't belong to us. Fantastic.

f***ing Hell. I can smell this one from here. This rumour involves us loaning Sol until January, when we swap him for Gareth Bale. So that would be the same Sol returning to Spurs and the supporters who have spent the past 8 years making vile chants about him, burning effigies of him etc etc.

he can apparently something to do with that he still contracted to notts and could be loaned out also aswell heard he hasnt takin any monies from notts as yet and if he relinquishes that is aloud to move to another club before jan.

But Notts released him - so he can play for who he wants. (That's my Sadpies mates understanding anyway)

Shit rumour though

Its far fetched, but....

Sol needs games for match fitness. No prem club will want him 'raw' in Jan at the business end of the season.

He signs for a CC side. Ok, he can do this on a pay-per-play or monthly basis, but this is risky for him. So he takes a fixed term deal 2.5years. He gets a nice sign-on fee being a free agent and can negotiate some play-time gurantees.

In January, a prem club *MAY* come for him - this is NOT guaranteed and where the twist lies. If he gets a transfer the CC club gets to recoup the sign on fee or (as in the supposed case of Forest) barter the registration in a loan swap. If he doesn't get a prem berth, he's got a contract to see him into the grave yard.

Last I read was that someone at County was refusing to sign some paperwork so he was still tied to them...

All this swap subterfuge is just too much!! What if he was still shit at CC level, what would SPurs do then? Nonsense!

Not the case, because Sol 'engineered' his move, he has not been allowed by the FA or Premier League to officially join another club until the Jan transfer window opens.

Exactly, Campbell could not cope in Prem any more, then struggled in the one game he played for County. Even though we are still hunting a centre back, with the way things are going he would be more of a risk than Wes or Chambers!

Sorry that's rubbish.

Sol would walk into any side in this league and most Premier League sides.

So what he had a bad game for County, plenty of decent players have poor games.

If rumours are true he is either training with, or going to be training with Arsenal, so fitness wise he will be fine and will just need the match practice and sharpness to move on.

There's more chance of us signing Bob Holness than Sol Campbell, and more chance of us signing Bob Monkhouse than Gareth Bale. Utter pie in the sky.

I think it's a disgrace that the club hasn't moved sooner to bring in Holness and Monkhouse.

Monkhouse, in particular, has been available on a free since his death 6 years ago. Typical Mark Arthur.

Apparently he isn't quite at match fitness yet.
