A handful of Villa tickets became available just now and I managed to get a couple (I'm an away member). No I dea if there are any more but just goes to show it's worth periodically checking even after it's 'sold out'.
Yep me too.missed out on the ballot but saw the post on x saying there were some and bingo 2 secured buzzing loave villa park

Has anybody had there ID checked at an away game yet? I have an old driving licence without the photo and currently waiting for my passport renewal to come back. Should be back in time for Crystal Palace, but I'm just checking to see if anyone has had their ID checked.

Not heard of anyone, and no one has seen this email that gets sent out at 3pm Fridays.

Draw your own conclusions from that.

This can't be true can it, 300?

I'm sure I read that you can't return an away ticket after 12pm the day before a game. So if those who buy a ticket and pass it onto their mates then get the 3pm email it means they forfeit the ability to return.
Also, 300 seems like a large number of supporters to send to the hoke ticket office.

I was not asked to provide ID for either Liverpool or Villa.

I've just been offered a ticket for Palace off an away member who can't now go.

Seems to risky to accept and risk now. 😳

I don't know a single person who has received the email about ID checks, I've also asked a few other people who travel away and they don't know anyone who has been ID checked. Obviously we can't ask everyone, but you'd think someone would have posted on this forum if there'd been an ID check at Liverpool or Villa.

Villa was tap, rather than scan, to get in so you wouldn't be able to enter without a digital ticket on your phone.

In which case, what are they going to do - get the chosen few to meet up somewhere near the ground, at an appointed time that disregards their pre-arranged travel arrangements and potential delays, hope not to attract the attention of the +30k home supporters, check their ID, find their seat in the database and email them the ticket there and then, pray there's a phone signal for both the sender and the receiver, and finally hope to f*** they manage to get to their seat before kick off?

Good luck with that.

Thats what they did last season for the away Europa League matches wasnt it?

No. They gave out paper tickets, from a hotel or bar in the city centre, starting the process two days before the match itself, and ending a couple of hours before the match.

Loads of tickets left for Cov still, I wonder if we'll see the lowest attendance of the PL era?
I don't understand it tbf. Kick off time isn't too bad, far better than the 16:30 on a Sunday kick off and it's against a team we haven't played in a while. I thought it would have more demand for this game than say playing someone like Brentford or Fulham.

It's pretty much all singles so unless you're going it solo you might give it a swerve as not sitting next to each other.

There may be a few singles left come kick off but it'll still be pretty much a sell out. It's certainly easier as a standard member to get tickets the longer we've been back in the Prem. That first season back they were like gold dust.

Listing on the exchange is no longer a guaranteed sale.

I’d say it’s money more than anything else. Those of us without season cards have had to pay for Leeds (twice with the cup), Spurs, and Coventry all within the same payday, assuming we’re all paid monthly. It’s been an expensive month.

Well the ticket I listed on Friday night did sell - to a Cov fan!
He was openly cheering when they scored and was promtly told to sit down and shut up. It looks like we have members buying tickets for away fans now.

Report it to the club. They will track down who bought it.

Crikey, I've gone a bit Josef Stalin there.
