They have sent a follow up recognising they dropped a ricket.

Looks like a selection of supporters will have their digital tickets rescinded and required to collect new tickets from Anfield ticket office after presentation of ID

Lucky fans will be notified by email at 3pm on Friday.

In other away ticket news looks like chance of winning the Villa ballot was about 1 in 2 again.

Considerably higher than the 1 in 5 folk reported on here for last season

Perhaps the possibility of sanctions are making people think twice about passing their tickets on.

Would be interesting to know how many of the 48+ points club have taken up their tickets. Not seen anything on this.
Fag packet maths. Let's see,

There were 3000 tickets in total

Say 250 went to players and sponsors similar to Liverpool

That leaves 2750 tickets for fans

1263 were allocated to the ballot process which means that of the

!960 people eligible for a guaranteed ticket 1487 took up their rights.

About 76%

FWII - the 400 club used to pretty much always take up their allocation for UK matches.
Not sure about the old second tier

We'll see if more get returned after the 3pm emails asking for ID get sent.

There's been a drip feed of Liverpool tickets available for any away members the last couple of days.

The club is making it known that no further tickets can be refunded after 3pm tomorrow - which is the same time emails are sent to a selection of Liverpool ticket holders requiring them to present photo id at Anfield to validate their ticket.

Find it really strange that tickets weren't taken up by those who we successful in the ballot or part of the higher tier. Do we think that's down to the new threats of being banned if you sell you ticket to a mate? Or the fact we're currently shit?

I'm hearing that some haven't received their digital ticket yet. Could be these are the ones that get the 3pm email.

Seems a better way than issuing a ticket, then cancelling it off, then reactivating it.

But that has nothing to do with those not getting their tickets by the deadline! You'd purchase the ticket on the website and then wait for the digital ticket which would not explain anything to do with tickets being available again

I'm not equating the two.

Always corporates returned in the week leading upto the game. Others may return them for whatever reason.

The club have a system to resell, but you can't make people go. Bank Holiday, early kick off, on tv are all reasons. Maybe PL fatigue is kicking in now. Time will tell.

I know a few people who took the risk and passed on the ticket, they even had a ready made excuse in case they did get an email at 3pm.

I don’t know anyone who received the 3pm email and tbh I’m not sure anyone did. I think it acts as a sufficient deterrent, although there will be a few that still take the risk.

There was certainly no sign of any ticket collection or ID checks going on anywhere near the away entry point.

I don’t think there’ll ever be random spot checks without warning. Too many people could easily argue they’re not carrying ID. Stewards at the turnstile are more fussed about flags, bags and being miserable buggers!! There’s a deterrent in place, but there’ll still be a few that slip through the net.

When do the points get added you your total?
Managed to get a ticket for Villa, so I’m assuming 1 point will be added the midweek after the game?

I bought tickets for Spurs a few weeks back. Double checked, and the money was taken from my account and have added the tickets to my wallet. Its also in my account history as purchasing two tickets for the game. Sound.

When I log into my e-ticketing account however, its telling me my next game is Coventry (which I have tickets for too), so the Spurs game has disappeared from my upcoming matches. I've just tested it by trying to purchase a ticket for Spurs, which I'm able to do. That shouldn't be happening as it's one ticket per customer number, which I already used to purchase tickets a few weeks ago.

Something to worry about, or have the Ticketmaster lot ballsed up somewhere?

Mine has done the same and showing Coventry as next game but it's not even showing in account history despite me having two tickets added to my wallet for Spurs, I wouldn't worry about it.
