The ID checks worked well for away European games. But would be too much of an inconvenience for domestic away games,

I presume it would be more like the Villa SF. Photo ID was checked and seemed to work
In future, you could probably borrow a mate's driving licence but it would be a bit of a faff. Akin to getting into nightclubs with strict door policies.

Oddly FAQ's section of the scheme says this:

Random spot checks will be implemented throughout the season on individual’s tickets, where supporters may need to collect a physical ticket from the away team’s Ticket Office on matchday with photo ID.

"Physical tickets" ! I thought the PL had deemed them a thing of the past ?

No change .
However, if the club succeed in reducing passing onto mates , more away games should become accessible to non ST holders

I'm not begrudging the fact that they've opened up membership to every season ticket holder (even though it sounds like I am!!) but haven't forest breached their own T's and C's from last season with this new scheme?

Yea there’s a chance, particularly long distance midweek games in January!
Just keep checking the ticket section.
I did West Ham, Brighton, City,Sunderland and Chelsea!
It’s a fair point made earlier that the European trips could have been a factor in this anomaly.

There could be an opportunity for some away games - Brighton always seems to reach members. I think members have been hard done by. A season ticket holder who hasn't been to any away games gets a better chance than a member who's been to away games. Not quite fair on members that - and I say this as a season ticket holder!

They did indeed.

However, they also said they would do a thorough review of the scheme for 26/27

Certainly was. I did less domestic games, due to the 3 day European games last season.

Always worth checking a few days before the match, as corporate tickets get returned.

To extent, but with with the goalposts constantly moving so people need to constantly maintain their records in order to avoid being displaced. And those outside the party at least know how to get in.

From my perspective, it's not perfect but it is a dramatic improvement.

It's still a closed shop! Those in the top tier still have pretty much a guarantee for a ticket, therefore adding points to their account. People such as myself on 44 will struggle to get many again this season, so my points total will probably go down for the season after when they then get rid of the oldest season.

It’s a bigger closed shop now at Forest but here is what Leeds did last season

“Based on the away allocation being 3,000 tickets, the distribution policy is listed below:

• 34.2% Away Season Ticket Holders
• 28% Tracker (supporters with high tracker attendance from the 2024/25 season)
• 28% Home Season Ticket Holders
• 9.8% Members”

I have friends who are Leeds fans who got to Everton away last season as a Group of 4 no less and they are only members. Leeds have like 32,000 people on a season ticket wait list.

No system will ever be fair but Forest do seem to be being unfair to members who of you take pro are paying £100 and then between £50-£70 for a home game. That should buy you a better chance of an away ticket than it’s going to get you next season.

I think it’s hard to balance but Leeds seem to have it about right. You have to reward the people who go home and away every week as they are arranging their work and home lives around Forest that is next level commitment.

I have managed to buy away tickets twice since promotion (West Ham last season and Brighton in the cup) and bought tickets off people a couple of times at the last minute when they couldn’t make it. That after going to the majority of games in London and the south east for a couple of decades. I do find the complete absence of even a lottery chance for Pro members to be a bit unfair considering the cost of membership and prices we pay for home match tickets (which for some means spending more than a season ticket would cost). I’m not even sure really why a season ticket holder should have an increased chance of going away when they already get to see all the home matches to be honest.

Yes, I think if you're in the bracket of 40 to 60 points, you'll miss out on the 70%. It then seems unfair that these people are lumped in to the 30% club with people on 0 away points.

Interesting that there's no mention of how the ballot will work in terms of applying in Groups - i.e. if you apply in a Group of 3, do all 3 need to be successful, or would just one successful applicant lead to the Group all getting tickets.

8 , 6 from last season. I got the 100 ticket lottery 5 times last season. It should have been enough for level 2 memebership but the rules changed. Newcastle away was exception, it went to general sale as no one wanted to go to Newcastle on a Sunday, sit in the clouds and watch Angeball.

I've only got 10: 8 from Europa trips and 2 from 21/22 (although at least a couple are missing there). Not being a SC holder until this season, I haven't had many opportunities to add to my tally for the past 4 seasons...!

I’m on 101 and have only missed 4 PL away matches in the last 4 season. With all the cup away games attended apart from Swansea & Exeter, plus 4 away in
The Europa League. In 21-22 I went to 15 out of the 23, missed the 400 by 1 game.

I think the points tally for the 70% could be lower than people think. Like you've said, even 40 points means you've averaged 8 away games a season and that's pretty good going, considering how hard it is to get hold of tickets. Of course the club will know what everyone's ranking is based on the away points i.e. you're the 1,625th away fan! Also the club will know the approx. cut off point for the 70%; I think this could have been communicated and saved a lot of guess work.
