Disgusted that the club has not mentioned this on the official site, rang and asked why, was told the club had moved on from then, please ring and complain , 0115 982 4444, ask for Mark Arthur, you get his PA, who knows less about football than my piano, told me it was nothing to do with Forest, it was all down to Liverpool, disgusting attitude

Don't agree, as time moves on, the anniversary should be marked on the landmark years, 25 being the next, but a mention of it would not have been wrong.
But that may not have been enough for some.

Big date landmarks might merit a mention, as Dadford said, but it's undoubtedly Liverpool who were most affected (not devaluing the harrowing scenes witnessed by so many Forest fans on that day too).

Ok, but a small bit on the website wouldnt hurt, Shef Weds did it, doesn`t cost anything, the guy who does the website agreed, but said it was out his hands, more annoyed with the attitude, non football people with jobs at a football club

ringing and complaining wont get you anywhere, as his PA is a dishcloth.

You're right it wouldn't have taken much in terms of cost or effort. I guess now you've flagged it if there are a significant chunk of fans who feel similarly they'll get a few complaints about it at least!

I personally have no need, or wish, to be reminded of it.

Those of us who feel the need to commemorate the occasion do so in our hearts and minds.

Leave the wallowing in self pity to the scousers - they are so much better at it than anyone else.

25 years on is possibly worth a story on the site. Why put the 21 year aniversary on the site?

I personally don't feel I need the club to tell me when to feel bad for people once a year.

Also it's not his secretary's fault. She's just going to work to pay her bills. Why give her grief?

I see John Aldridge was there, never forgive that bloke for what he did to Brian Laws in the 'replay', think our club are quite right it not giving it a mention.

Move on I say, nothing is nice about what happened whatever your viewpoint and whoever is to blame. Take a personal moment and think your blessed that Forest weren't in that end and it wasn't our friends and family.

To moan about some Pa as to her interests in football or not is a wee bit daft, not exactly her fault is it, sure she has bills to pay.

If you feel that strog about it, go and cry crocodile tears on a scouse forum. Leave us, who witnessed the scenes to deal with it in our own way.

Pleased the club have not acknowledged the fact.

She should choose her words more carefully.

yeah, all i asked was why not a mention on the website, i was there in 89, as where a lot of us, and its a day none of us will forget, just her "nothing to do with us" attitude, its only by Gods grace it wasnt us, the 96 loved there football as much as us, and didnt deserve that, as the same as 96 familys, think of the hell they`ve had since then, we still get the chance to go to football, they have`nt, and I`m not trying to fall out with anyone, i know we dont need reminding but a small bit on the website?

Sedge, i was there, same as you, just a small mention on the website wouldt have hurt, and tears, i cried that day, and still have a few every year for them, they loved the football just like us, where lucky enough still to be about and watch it

It's difficult for the club! You can see on here as well, people have mixed emotions on whether or not they would want the club to put something on the website.
I believe that the club has made the decision, based on what they think is the right thing to do. And nothing to do with being disrespectful!

I was there - I don't particularly like the scousers but they didn't deserve to lose their lives. The trouble with this whole thing is that some of us start to point the finger again. I want to let it rest.
Leave the mourning to them. Although some of us shared the whole sorry spectacle with the Scouse, I don't want to share our mutual sorrow with them.

Spot on.

Those of us who were there have our own memories and feelings about that day. Leave us to it; we don't want reminding.

For those of you who weren't there read last years thread (or the year before that etc.).

Definatly! I want to forget not remember (no disrespect intended to the dead)
I don't like scousers and I don't agree with the offical line on Hillsborough but
I hate seeing the dead bodies of innocent football fans more!
