no need for a here we go...

It has been done to death , there really is no need for name calling and blaming.

Just remember the 96 innocent people who went to a football game and never went home again.

Just to make things perfectly clear - I hate the f***ing Scouse as much as anyone on here but I also have respect for the dead - After all they were human beings.

Because I was there on that fateful day I will always have the 15th April etched in my memory.

Don't let's go down the road on this occasion by submitting non-humorous crap with posts that makes you think will make you look good - let’s show some respect - PLEASE.

Scandalous and Shameless
I read it last year but reading Flagman's account of that day has just made me cry, just like it did last year.

It's shocking and unbelievable that 96 people can go to a football match, something I do most weeks, but never make it home alive.

RIP all those that died that day :(

As one who was there and saw it all I dread this thread coming up every year. Same old arguments and shit.

RIP the real fans who died that day. But let's move on and say no more than that if for no more reason than for the guys on this board who were there.

I have a terrible memory and don't remember much from growing up but that day sticks in my mind. RIP.

I was also there, I was 11. In some of my classes I teach Risk Management and the Case of Hillsborough always causes a high debate amongst students, there is still much about the happenings on that day which will remain undocumented despite the two published enquiries, It was a failing of mankind with the worst possible consequences. My heart goes out to all of the 96 and there families, may they get justice.

"Ninety-five fans died that afternoon.
Fans like me.
In the ground early, in order to get a good place to stand.
Killed by the unrelenting weight of humanity crushing the life and breath out of them."

With no apologies - only a note that some of these pictures will haunt you:

Empty pens next to overcrowded ones just before kick-off.

One way to survive was to get on to the pitch...

Will be holding my own two minute silence in 10 minutes to remember those who lost their lives. I hope I'm not alone in this.

I recall being really annoyed the match was called off. Shame lives were lost though.

:zipit: I still have an enormous anger over the death's and the behaviour afterwards.....We have trod this path before....

If you witnessed the scenes unfold in front of you, then they are imprinted on your mind for life. I do not feel the need for a reminder every year, from some and please note ''some'' who may wish to shed a few crocodile tears, just to feel involved on the edges of a disaster years ago, I actually feel very sorry for you.

For the argumenst and causes so far ZIPPED.

I also seem to recall mister Clough stated that some blame should be laid at the door of the scousers. Not a popular statement, but true...
