Bare with me on this but I stated it yesterday: The moment the John Terry story broke and Bridge stated he would not play for England again (if Terry plays), Nicky Shorey must have thought that if he got himself a chance with a premiereship team, he would have an outside chance of making the World Cup squad as we (England) are short on the ground for cover at left back! My gut feeling is that Billy has something up his sleeve in the loan market. I was there Saturday and I have not seen any comment re the Sheeps goal. Why was Perch marking Hulse and Morgan marking 'fresh air'?

can you not just add this to one of the other 90 threads? Sorry for the moan. I disagree anyone in their right mind would want to go to a semi decent prem team over us. Fulham have had a s**t run of form but still a better prospect. I would have thought if Shorey had any confidence in his ability he would believe he had an outside chance of getting in the England squad also.

Shorey went to Fulham because they can afford his full wage until the end of the season, someting I'm sure we weren't doing when he was with us.
