 embarrassingly CC tried to sign him a good 6 weeks ago-ish, it was quite well publicised because the Welling manager advised him not to make the move due to him needing more experience and the joke was around about a non league player rebuffs NFFC!

He would cost a fortune to put on the back of your shirt.

Must be a money making scheme by Marthur - get Kilburn on the case to find the truth!!!

He was the one we offered the chance to join us eariler on this year. Turned us down and said it wasn't the right time.

Now the ba*tard has joined Peterborough!

Oh well do we need a left back at this moment? As cover I suppose but even then in a desperate circumstances you could use Heath or Reid. Heath has impressed me at left back when I've seen him this season (aside from Burton of course)

We already have enough full backs in Chambers, Perch, Bennett, Lynch, Wilson, Morgan Breckin, Anderson, Martin, Mcleary, Moose, Mcgugan, Cohen, Davies, Fletcher, Cole, Earnshaw, Tyson, Garner, Camp, Smith and Rice

Seems a bit strange to me that he was advised not to go to us and has now gone to Peterborough.

Not really. Their first choice left-back is done for the season after having a back op and their central defender who can play left back dislocated his shoulder last weekend and needs it pinning. So he's probably going to get first-team football. Plus over the last couple of seasons they've bought George Boyd, Aaron MacLean, Craig Mackail-Smith, Shane Blackett, Chris Whelpdale, Shaun Batt, Kieron Charnock and Rene Howe from non-league football into their first-team...a much better track record of developing 'non-leaguers' than ours.

Well, now you mention all that, it makes more sense. Its just I thought he was advised not to go in to league football because he wasn't ready, not because he wasn't going to get regular football. It's a big step up from playing non-league football, to be playing first team football in league 1.

It will be interesting to see if he does step up, like i say. At least if he does become a success we can have something to moan about!
