I think soItll take at least 45/50m to get him. That's if he wants to come.
Worth it?
Brilliant player, been wasted at Liverpool

That's what I was insinuating, that the loss of MGW and Elanga will point to a change of setup... but by selling our best players we're now much less attractive to top players.
Liverpool will want top dollar.I think so

Luckily for Harvey Elliott there are no longer any players left to execute a style of play. He's already turned us down as our style of play doesn't align with what he believes he can offer. That's not going to change now we're having a fire sale.
I’ve found Marthur’s account again.Liverpool will want top dollar.
Elliot will demand a salary hike.
Forest will offer below what the selling club and the player want.
Oooh you are awful!I’ve found Marthur’s account again.
We'll see. I think there are other clubs he can use as a stepping stone, which are less of a gamble than we are.I don't buy this.
The only players who might turn their nose up at a club because it's been weakened are players joining clubs who have a shot of winning something substantial.
Players joining Forest won't care about that, they'll care about a chance to prove a point and get a move to a better club. Might even be that having Elanga and MGW out the way makes them think they've got a better chance of being a regular.

I read that as well.40m with sell on fee or 50m with no sell on fee is what i read
I'm not sharp on their current squads, so I'm unsure if they are looking for an Elliot-type player currently; however, if they are, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham, Villa, and probably a few teams abroad.Who?
There is a massive number 10 shaped whole in our team now, someone like Elliot is far more likely to join now than with MGW here.
We are in the exact same category as all the teams you mentionedI'm not sharp on their current squads, so I'm unsure if they are looking for an Elliot-type player currently; however, if they are, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham, Villa, and probably a few teams abroad.
What's his stepping stone plan? He's already at Liverpool. He's gonna come here for two years, improve, and go back to Liverpool? Spurs?
If he wants to come as he sees us as a good move, fine, but I don't see him coming for the potential to improve and get a move to a bigger club.
Sadly, we're not. Those clubs have proven to be top-10 Premier League clubs over a sustained period. And whilst we all love our club, last season could easily be a 2019–20 Sheffield United to most neutral spectators. We are in the exact same category as all the teams you mentioned
Sorry pal but you are just wrist slashing.Sadly, we're not. Those clubs have proven to be top-10 Premier League clubs over a sustained period. And whilst we all love our club, last season could easily be a 2019–20 Sheffield United to most neutral spectators.
But I hope you're right, we'll wait and see.
Isn't that exactly what Elanga did?I'm not sharp on their current squads, so I'm unsure if they are looking for an Elliot-type player currently; however, if they are, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham, Villa, and probably a few teams abroad.

You could say the same about that for any club he joins in England then other than Man Utd.I'm not sharp on their current squads, so I'm unsure if they are looking for an Elliot-type player currently; however, if they are, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Fulham, Villa, and probably a few teams abroad.

I'm just trying to put myself in the shoes of a Liverpool youngster, and then watching us sell MGW and Elanga. I don't think I'd want anything to do with us.Sorry pal but you are just wrist slashing.
I am in a wrist slashing mood myself but you are not judging the club with any kind of sense at all. The clubs you listed are exactly the same position as us, we are arguably stronger than most of them.
I would say there's a difference in level between Man United Elanga, and Liverpool Elliot, but I take your point and don't want to kill any slight optimism there is, so I'll dip out there. Hope he comes, but I don't see it, and don't see us paying what's required.Isn't that exactly what Elanga did?
So hypothetically then who would you say he would want something to do with in England? Ruling out the top 6 clubs because they are already stocked in those positions.I'm just trying to put myself in the shoes of a Liverpool youngster, and then watching us sell MGW and Elanga. I don't think I'd want anything to do with us.
I do think we'll bid for someone like McAtee, and that's where we'll be back to as a club, just as we got MGW when he wasn't good enough for the Prem. That turned out ok, but we'll go backward first.
If we get someone like Fofana over the line to replace Elanga, then I'll be more optimistic, but all the players we're linked to at that level don't seem interested.
So if selling players is the reason why Elliot wouldn’t join us, why have you listed Brighton, Bournemouth & Brentford as more attractive options?I'm just trying to put myself in the shoes of a Liverpool youngster, and then watching us sell MGW and Elanga. I don't think I'd want anything to do with us.

Interesting one. I’m on the fence with Elliott. I have watched a lot of Liverpool matches over the last few years due to most of my family being fans and I’ve always found him a little underwhelming. You’d expect him to be fast for his size but I’d say he’s average speed wise. He rarely takes on his man, although at international level that’s a different story. Good range of passing, good left foot and young. Plenty to work with. But a good indicator to me, is that drop off in Liverpool’s quality when any of Elliott, Jones or Endo come on for the starting mids is quite alarming. For the 40-50 mill this one would cost, I’m swaying towards saying avoid. If he. Cost upto 30 mill I’d say go for it.Apparently we've been in contact over Elliott

More chance of Steve Elliott-who came in the side in 1978 when Peter Withe was surprisingly sold (only for CloughFred Elliott?
Better butchers than him around.
Not sure it would be a gamble, we obviously don’t like it but we’ve just proved that if you come here and perform you’ll get your big move. We'll see. I think there are other clubs he can use as a stepping stone, which are less of a gamble than we are.
