Harrison Armstrong

Lesson learned in leaking things to journalists before it's finalised.

Feels like if Forest had bid after the Everton match this might have happened, as the reaction would have been less visible

Nero importantly from our POV, who comes in instead? We definitely need a midfielder.

Glasner said ‘probably 3’ players coming in. Munoz is presumably one. Now Armstrong and Henderson haven’t happened, I wonder if there will be anyone else

Ola was part of it..

Its so funny that in stopping this deal, Everton are forcing themselves to make a significant loss in the swap deal between Ndiaye and Richarlison. They’re gonna be down massively on that deal, and be significantly weaker, all because of a story leak and a chant.

Glad it's off if it meant Aina leaving. Even if he's back up RWB. He'll still get plenty of game time.

My favourite player & an irreplaceable character in the dressing room.
Yeah thats a really good point, I’ve always thought what Ola offers off the pitch is absolutely priceless.

They’ll have to publicly make the case to their fan base. Convince them with an acceptable logical argument.

They’re scousers, so good luck with that.
According to their forum the narrative is it was all fairly progressed until the Ornstein tweet - the crunch came with their fan group 1878 getting involved and saying they would stop doing events and TIFOs etc if the sale went through

Given the strength of anger from the Everton fanbase and players, I wouldn't be surprised if the leak came from someone at Everton.

Everton fans now going ballistic because they're only now realising that they needed the money in the first place and they're not liking the new deal

Ndiaye to Tottenham for £25mil plus Richarlison.

And Kenny Tete is going to be their new right back.

Apoplectic.
Everton have always loved stockpiling deadwood.

Hillarious that this comes in the same week their owners said Moyes failed by not qualifying for last season, and expect to win trophies.

Moyes has now started biting back a little at the owners too, so they have the potential for things to blow up over there.

Imagine thinking you are getting Jack Grealish and Ola Aina - and ending up with Richarlison and Kenny Tete.

If they need money then the selling of Harrison makes more sense than selling Ndiaye even if it could backfire.

Ndiaye is proven and is up among Everton's best, whereas Harrison is young, not really proven, and, as we've experienced many times in the past, not necessarily going to develop in the way that is hoped for.

Of course if he does and he becomes another Anderson and they've sold him to us they will be pissed. If he doesn't then they will be gloating they've had our metaphorical pants down.
