Most of us wanted him though.

He's a natural born winner, and we all saw that in his record.

Actually i'm not as i was pleased he became our boss, his track record is great, the one thing i am liking about BD is his team selection as he seems to be keeping the majority of the players happy in a large squad, i know earnie wasn't happy on the bench and it was well known that he was disappointed but he comes back in the squad and he scores 5 goals in 3 games. BD is a genius.

Give over, you should be on your knees with your mouth open like every other red incase Billy needs your service, he's taking this club forward!

I was against Davies becoming manager. I was worried about Earnshaw leaving and hoofball. After we've just destroyed Doncaster and Leicester with great passing football and Earnie has 5 in 3 games I think it's safe to say I was wrong.

Thats what you get for listening to Derby fans. Billy Davies is a brilliant manager and the football is excellent.

I'd agree he's proved me wrong too. The football has been much better than I expected from him (although that might be more to due with the type of players he inherited) and he's added a lot of toughness and experience that is really showing.

That said the things that made me question him in the first place still haven't been proven wrong. My worry was that at his previous clubs he's always lost the plot when times got tough, falling out with players and the board, resorting to endless transfers and demands for big budgets as the only way to turn things around etc. When the Sheep were going downhill in the Premiership he just kind of sat there, resigned to the fact. Good managers know how to deal with these times, I doubt that BD does.

He's doing a fantastic job now, I just feel if things go Pete Tongue he'll only add to it, but hopefully this form continues and it doesn't come to that.

Billy brought McKenna in and he is the difference from mid table to play off contenders

Never doubted him

and you could also say the same about Kelvin Wilson as I'm sure most on here wanted him out too

Quality defender, has all the qualities to be a top defender in this league he just needed billy to get at him
Same with a few other players

I had an inclination he'd get us results, but not so quickly and emphatically this season. We're playing brilliant football, and is definately getting the best out of the personalle we have. We'll have a job hanging onto to him further down the line.

Ditto. I decided that a long time ago, and admit I got it wrong. In my defence we were appointing a man who thought Darren Moore was a Premier League footballer and who didn't play Rob Earnshaw.

Billy has probably learned a lot himself, not that he'd ever admit that, but Gunter and Shorey are a long, long way away from some of the shite he signed for Derby.

You'd like to think that imbeciles that wanted Doughty out, who didn't have the good sense to envisage the we'd sat 3rd in the Championship with the excellent side we've now got, would have made a similar repentance for their crimes against Forest. I wouldn't have thought it would be forthcoming though!

Me too.
Anyway what happened to FOND?
Surely the members of which should be on here admitting they know f*** all about anything.

I've been testing the waters for such an admittance, none has been forthcoming thus far.

Anyone big enough to make the descent from their enormous horse?

I didn't, unless it was as Psycho's assistant/bitch.

That said, even that combination left be worried about heart-over-head dynamics.

I didn't want Billy, but I'm delighted to say I was ill-informed and wrong. So far.
