Because of the political strife that is threatening to engulf the club and destroy all sport in a maelstrom of recommendations, advisements, lawyers waving diaries about and sinister rituals involving Pleat, Marthur and a lock of Gary Megson's hair.

If the 'ongoing power struggle' is affecting the fans so much then obviously the players will be equally affected, if not more so. So if the ones who could easily get a job elsewhere are committing then they either know one side is going to win this inevitable showdown to the death, or they don't believe there's going to be one.
 
Would think the players are not one bit botherd about any of it.
 
Gunter triggered some kind of thing in his contract which extended it by only a year - presumably for more cash, so I don't think much can be read into that beyond he could earn more cash so chose to do so - in so doing he extended his commitment by a further year.

Earnie is out of contract soon so obviously a new one will be on his list of things to do!

there is absolutely nothing wrong with the club.. things are going just fine... dont believe what you read, and dont believe the hype.
 
He talked about it in an interview and suggested negotiations were underway... but as far as I know he's not actually signed anything.

Maybe one mistake.
The American spelling is Harbor. The Italian spelling is surrender.

I also think we need to move on from squirrels. That made us stand out, but now it makes us look stupid.
