Gunters Ban?

Anyone know if the club have appealed Gunters 3 match ban?

As usual the club have been silent and fail to update fans.

the question is whether they'll take the risk of appealing and spend longer without him, due to the new system.
i would hope that the FA would potentially see reason and shorten the ban, considering that Gunter was provoked prior to the incident, and it was really quite a light retaliation. but odds are that we'd then spend upwards of four games without him.

How would you know? They've completely removed anything useful from the OS. The only thing you can find out now is how to buy things from the shop and how to bet.

The club news is still there, but the website is so badly designed that I just don't bother much anymore.

is it a new directive this season that yellow cards brandished in a match will be ignored?

Tbh gunter was a very stupid boy; but he has always struck me as someone with a petulant side to his game. Id give moloney a chance.

Dunno, his face hasn't fit so far with BD.

The club would have been foolish to contest the charge although it seems harsh to get the same punishment for that girly little stamp as you would for a 2 footed leg breaker.

The thing is, though, Gunter retaliated. He didn't instigate. To not even investigate the instigation seems odd.

I think Billy rates Moloney, otherwise he'd have sold him to County. He did very well when he came on against Lyon.

I'm not so sure Rich, I think he's just keeping him (and Thornhill) around because the squad needs bodies and the TAP aren't really providing him with any additions...

I'd agree with the earlier assertion that Chambo will come in at Right-Back and Lynch on the bench.

Exactly. From what I have seen of both Moloney and Thornhill both are decent players but not good enough for a side who has aspirations of the Premiership or probably even getting a decent standing in the league.

I think both will have good careers (if Gregor Robertson can anyone can!) in the lower leagues but not with us.

WHy's he got a 3 game ban? The new fast track rules state that if the player/club accept the "offer", the ban will be reduced by 1/3rd. So he should have a 2 game ban.

well i have to say a three match ban for that? bloody hell. also, i don't understand why other players who come charging in and pushing in a fury don't get bans either. it's just like the flagwaving incident. they're the ones who cause the issues.

Leeds scum come charging in and our players just basically form line to keep them away. There's barely any pushing let alone punches thrown.

The FA are a ****ing joke. Trial by TV again.

My money is on Billy playing Chambers RB tomorrow and for the next 3 games - just to show Gunter who's boss etc.
