Gunter signs.

It's Baggio

Nottingham Forest are on the verge of signing Tottenham defender Chris Gunter on loan.

The 19 year old is expected to check-in at The City Ground later today to tie-up the formalities of a loan deal that will keep him on Trentside until the end of the season.

And if the deal goes through as expected, Gunter, who can play in either full back position, will make his debut against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Manager Billy Davies made his move for Gunter amid a defensive injury crisis.
Kelvin Wilson, Ian Breckin and Joel Lynch are regarded as doubts ahead of the Burnley game after sustaining injuries in Tuesday's defeat at Watford.

I must have completely missed that!

Fantastic signing, though.

It's in the 'people on this forum' thread.

Capello's hiding his info on inconspicuous threads. :D

Wasn't worth starting a new thread, but here is a right back who wants to go out on loan.

Must be worth a 'cheeky' bid ... after all, we're better than Preston aren't we?

That's great news! Although his age doesnt immediately seem to fulfil the "experience" that BD was saying was needed a few weeks ago, I'd hope that if he's experienced enough to be picked for his country then he should be experienced enough for us...

I was expecting that image! Though I thought there'd be a bit more effort with Gunther photoshopped into a Forest shirt... :D

He's relatively experienced at this level, though.

I think I'm right in saying that he's played more games in the league than the majority of our squad.

Makes you wonder though...

Did we only sign him because we now have injuries to Breckin and Lynch? Is it classed as an emergency loan then?

All loans at this point are 'emergency loans'.

McSheffrey and Osbourne are emergency loans as well.
