I was talking to one of the stewards today & he told me that after the Bristol game a worried lady ran up to him in the tunnel "please can you help my son!" she begged. The steward, says of course, and turns round expecting to see a little kid.

Instead he realises that the son is in fact Chris Gunter who is being strangled by a Bristol player! (identified by the steward as 'the striker, not Dele Adebola, the other black one'.

If Chris Gunter does not sign for us this Summer it will almost certainly because his mum has told him to stay at home where she can keep an eye on him!

Let's try for Gunter, Ando and the rest - on permanents. Trouble is - we still have weaknesses even with these guys in the side and these will have to be dealt with. Money. New midfield player to control the rest of the players and a new central defence and probably a new keeper. Ando, Ozzie, Gunter would be my priorities but they wouldn't necessarily keep us up. Up the Reds anyway.

Mark Arthur on the radio before the game said they wanted to make permanent the current loanee signings we had. Fray or Chipperfield then said by that I guess you mean those picked in the starting 11 today (i.e. Blacstock & Gunter). Mark Arthur replied with those that have been selected in the squad of 16. The only other loanee on the bench today was Anderson I think. Does that mean they want to do a deal with the scousers for Anderson

My auntie is in town this weekend and her partner is a huge Spurs fan and he says that Spurs have too many right backs for their own good and thinks there is a very good chance Gunter will be on the way out, even though he hasn't done much wrong.

Obviously this is just an opinion but gives a different perspective on the subject I suppose.

If Harry wants to sell players to raise funds for his 'own' players then we might have a chance of getting him, I think a long term loan is the more likely option, though.

Gunter had an ok game yesterday,. Would be great to have him for another year... Also Lynch impressed me on the left. He really does deliver quality into the box. He got exposed a few times down his flank, but overall i thought he was one of the better players on the pitch yesterday.

Gunter certainly qualifies as a fringe player, if even that. If they can get a bit of cash for them I imagine they will - and the lad seems really enamoured with Forest so that bodes well

aiiiii, It certainly is looking better than a few weeks ago. I didn't really think Tottenham would sell but after reading that and seeing what backup that have for Gunters position then I am getting very optimistic reagrding this transfer...... 1.5m should do it....
