Grubby Trent End

Having now accepted that we are not going to sign anyone in the loan market after Billy's post-match interview on Saturday, is there any chance that Marthur could release the funds to give the exterior of the Trent End a clean? Has anyone else noticed the grubbiness of the Lady Bay Bridge side in particular?

I realise that merely purchasing a duster would exceed the whole transfer budget and I may therefore be asking far too much but I am growing increasingly embarrassed about the shabby appearance of the City Ground. Perhaps the England Under 21s match could be used as an excuse?

It was alot worse about 2 years ago, its since been cleaned though. Something tells me the appearance of Trent End is the least of Forest's worries....

Blimey are you Glens mother?

:D I knew this would seem trivial to some fans but I have always felt pride when coming over either Trent Bridge or Lady Bay Bridge and seeing the Trent End with its Tricky Trees on either side proudly overlooking the Trent. Seeing the current state of it makes me struggle to feel that same pride.

And while theyre at it write the word Forest below the badge. It's inexplicably left off, and I don't know why, it's part of the badge.

While theyre at it, build us a new main stand, keep us in West Bridgeford where we belong and we'll have the best ground in the country.

Thank you good sirs.

What good is a class ground with no team?

I wondered that myself once when I was younger but I've not really thought anything of it since. Did the club ever provide a reason at the time?

Get a load of Polish builders to build main stand, it will be built in a week. :D

:D We'll have to get our act together though... a lot are apparently leaving due to the recession and the resulting lack of work.

It's good because it would secure our long term future at the city ground, in our iconic venue, regaining our history and tradition of football by the Trent which so many teams have sold off for the sake of a new morrissons and more parking spaces. It's even more important than short term success to me. You can go to League One for a few years, but you can always come back. What good is moving to clifton just so we can host a couple of world cup games? Capitulating to the council for a the sake of croatia vs sweden in the world cup makes my blood boil. We are more than Coventry, more than Southampton so why would we voluntarily assimilate? The city ground is a fantastic stadium. Huge, modern Brian Clough stand, iconic Trent End, nice new Bridgeford end (except the funny corner which presumably would be sorted) It's just the main stand which needs a revamp and we'd have a ground far bigger and far better than Pride Park.

Long term it's either new main stand or new ground. Everyone knows that, I just hope Mr. Doughty makes the right choice.
