What a great win and it looks like the crowd were rocking just a bloody shame i couldn't make it...Few things though
1: Our performance in each half were so different it was untrue...first half we were by far the better team, should've been 2 up going in and looked like the team that had dropped out of the prem but the change in the second half was bizarre yes the toon had to up there game but why we dropped so deep and played like that was beyond me, was that inexperience of the team or did billy change the tactics? but credit where credit is due our defence held strong and although pressure and possession of Newcastle was ridiculous at times i don't think they ever truly looked like scoring.
2. I for the life of me can't pick a best starting 11 at present as there has been some great performances of late..and some not so good, The moose was immense last night where the game seemed to bypass recent hero raddy...so picking a starting 11 is going to be tough for Billy (good problem to have though)
3. Crowd seemed great...top atmosphere and really helped the team i think so well done all who went along, can't wait to get back to the CG.
4. What about our expectations now then? I for one am still only looking at top half finish but the media and fans are bound to get excited and be talking about promotion and so on i just hope that doesn't affect our season.
All in all a very good win that poses a few questions and i feel proud to be a red fan and the positivity around the club at the moment is a great feeling...I can feel some good times coming again.
Have a good Sunday all and i'll see you soon down the Globe & City Ground
cheers ;D rob
