Great day out, thanks Forest Fans.

I am a Norwich fan and go to several away games with my son when I can.

We came to the Norwich v Forest game on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it, we sat down before the game at a table with a couple of Forest fans and they were great, another couple of Forest fans then showed us a short cut to the ground, there was good banter during the game and no nastiness / agressive behaviour after.

That's how football should be, you are a credit to your team and I hope we can do the same for you when you visit Norwich.

PS. We should have won 4-1.

Can't you see we're busy being miserable about not signing Darren Whittingham? Its no good you having fun at The City Ground when we can't! lol

I thought norwich were nice to watch. Played some really good football, cut us open on numerous occasions and deserved to win. Obviously a year in league one with a decent manager has allowed you to rebuild and go forward.

Welcome mate, nice to have an opposition fan giving "positive feedback".

My son is 10 years old and has been a Norwich season ticket holder for 4 seasons, we go to a few away games per year, he doesn't mind going to football but there is no doubt he does it to accompany me, more so than for his love of football.

He came out of the City ground on Saturday and had almost lost his voice through singing so much and asked when are we playing them at Nottingham again. He loved it.

I think it was 2 teams trying to play in the right way, with good spirit on the pitch and off.

It's how football should be.

We will be back again next year, see you at Carrow Rd in April.

Glad you had a good time - it's great that you've taken time to say something nice, too - many wouldn't bother.

Restores my flagging faith, this sort of thing.

I agree with his royal flagness here. Part of the experience of away days is how the opposition fans treat you. My last away game - Southend '05 - some of the fans there were being abuse to us for no real reason, whereas when I went to Goodison Park in '99, the Everton fans couldn't have been any nicer, despite us beating them.

Your sons a Forest fan, your sons a Forest fan!

Maybe when you learn to play football properly, Hah.

He supports Norwich because I do and because it's his local team, but things like this have a big effect on 10 year olds, he enjoyed this more than any other away match (I have never posted on an away team forum before).

He will remember his day out to Nottingham Forest for a long time and I am sure he will always look at Forest results and Nottingham itself will be much more than just a small town near Derby (joking).

This is the complete opposite to his visit to Leeds where the Leeds fans were so nasty they made him cry - he never wants to visit Leeds as long as he lives.

We learned to play football properly last year. We just have short memories that's all!

Leeds fans, sadly, have never been involved in evolution. I'd refer to them as 'animals', but the term 'Leeds fans' is a much more suitably derogatory term.
