Leeds look set to boost their promotion credentials with some big name signings from the Championship in January. Former Man City striker Jon Macken will be joining up with former West Brom striker Lee Hughes to replace Beckford and Becchio up front. Grayson will look to strengthen his defence with Dean Leacock, and a swap deal for Forest's Welsh international Arron Davies looks to be on the cards.

Arron Davies (N. Forest) – SWAP DEAL
Jon Macken (Barnsley) – £500k
Dean Leacock (Derby) – £300k
Lee Hughes (N. County) – £250k

Leeds United OUT:
Jermaine Beckford (Hull) – £1 million

Don't know much about Snodgrass but he's a regular first teamer at Leeds so it's pretty unlikely they're going to swap him for someone who wasn't good enough to complete a loan spell at Brighton.

My fella works up at Reebok as a groundsman and he tells me that the new gaffer has already given the Chairman a list of players from championship that he'd like to see bought in through the transfer window.

Forest favourites Dexter Bloodstock and Larry McGuigan will be joined by Cardiff's Richard Whittington, Swansea's Angela Rangella and Kris Commons from Notts Forest.

I'll keep you pasted if I hear any more.

snodgrass for davies swap deal :D f*** off ! he's probably there best player and they could sell him for £1m + easy , davies is worth the equivalent of a tesco indian meal for two . snodgrass would be an excellent signing though .

Arron Davies to Leeds is a goer. Grayson has been a fan of the winger since his Yeovil days, and has jumped at the chance to sign him.

Forest are one of several clubs currently after Robert Snodgrass, and have thought to have upped their offer to:

Arron Davies
Loan of Joe Garner until end of season
£500k

This deal suits Grayson down to the ground, as Garner is a proven goalscorer at League 1, and helps to fill the hole left by Beckford. Whether the money men of Leeds agree (who are holding out for a deal including £1.5 million cash), is to be seen.

Exciting times down at Elland Road.

That'd be a good deal for us, though.

Can't see Davies ever cutting the mustard here, and whilst I like Garner - if he isn't getting a game for us I'd like to see him get a decent loan and Leeds would be cracking.
