[GPR] McGugan to Sheeps?

Gary

No wonder my post count..
Another of Gary's rubbish rumor detective work:

"I have it on good authority that now the season is over Lewis Mcgugan will be shown the door at Forest and is joining Derby County by WABGR"

Those sites aren't even worth reading, never mind re-posting on here. Just a bunch of 13 year olds making stuff up.

If this is true, I demand a shrine.

What on Earth is that supposed to stand for?

Was a Baseball Ground regular.

He posts on 606.

Spends most of his time trying to wind up people on the Forest board.

One of the afforementioned 13 year old nothing better to do with their timers.

Re: McGugan to Sheeps?

That site also has

Dave Jones will be given one more season. If the fans keep calling for his head Peter will be forced to act.

Outs
Whittingham – Forest
McPhail – No offers yet
Parry – No offers yet
Ledley – West Ham xchange + cash
(this will be the money used for new players)
Roger Johnson – Prem Team only if Collins/Gabby offered as part of Ledley deal
Enkleman – League 1 if Heaton & Taylor stay
Capaldi – Forest

Why the f*** would we "show the door" to McGugan anyway? The sheep will really have to do better than that!

Just the messenger guys, just the messenger!

If there was a rumor linking us with Francis Benali and a shock return, I'd post it!

About as much chance of him going to Notts County.

Re: McGugan to Sheeps?

You only have to read about the players their being linked with. The most they'll be paying for an individual is £500,000 and they ain't getting McGugan for that. :nowink:

And what, exactly, is your source?

Here's the reasons why I think this is rubbish (no offence, Gary, I know you're just passing on info!)

1) He has at least a couple of years left on his contract. Therefore he would need to be bought. Derby neither have the money we would be after, nor do we require the money anyway

2) Even if an offer was accepted, surely he has enough sense in him, after seeing what has happened to Kris Commons on his returns, that he may not be able to take the abuse.

3) He's hardly put himself in the shop window recently

4) He's come out and said how he is looking forward to the future at Forest and more importantly, Forest's future with Billy Davies

5) It's football bloody rumours!!!

6) The guy who posted calls himself "Was a baseball ground regular" implying he rarely attends Prideless Park and probably knows nothing about what is going on with his club

....maybe

CLough is getting rid of avast amount of players freeing up cash for signings

im sure he can avoid 1 game a season, not a problem

3) He's hardly put himself in the shop window recently
lost interest at forest, no longer trying because deal done to move?

thats just my take of course but my source is a friend of my dads who doesnt come out with rumours willy nilly and the rumours he has said in the past have been correct bar 1

other info was that davies and the players have had enough of his billy big time ego and thinking hes bigger than the club. he also lives in long eaton, is out regularly in long eaton, has mates who are at derby/were at derby

but anyway, a rumours always a exactly that, a rumour so will have to wiat and see what happens

That's the silliest argument I've seen yet. Abuse is part and parcel of the game, Commons ran the show against us at the City Ground but was awful at Pride Park when the atmosphere was less hostile. Earnshaw got lots of abuse from the sheep but still scored an equaliser at Pride Park.

I still don't think it'll happen for all your other reasons, but that one won't faze any young player who thinks he's the next big thing.

From Lewis Mcgugans player profile on our website.

What would be your dream day?
Scoring the winning goal for Forest against Derby at Pride Park!

Re: McGugan to Sheeps?

Don't think Lewis would go there, and I don't think Derby could afford the transfer fee for him.

He may well move on - but not to them.

If he had any pride he won't go to Derby.
He experienced what happened when cookie moster left.

Re: McGugan to Sheeps?

I think this is just another unfounded rumour. I can't see Derby either wanting, or being able, to pay the kind of money we're likely to want for him.

He is friends with Giles Barnes on Facebook though, which does make me wonder how the 'friendship' began. Then again, he appears to be friends with Frazier Campbell on Facebook too. Maybe his Facebook 'friends' are just as random as everyone else's.

I think that Giles Barnes still lives in Notts. They probably know each other through the England set up as well.

Well Barnes used to be part of our academy, so it's feasible they met there :p
