[GPR] Earnshaw to Burnley?

Gary

No wonder my post count..
From that old dildo http://www.football-rumours.co.uk

"Owen Coyle is looking to offer Forest forward Rob Earnshaw another punt at the Premiership with a 3 million pound bid. He could also tie up deals for free agent Salif Diao and Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen for 1 Million."

id take 3 million.

joey garners better than him

This wouldn't suprise me if they did put a bid in for him.

I can't see the board selling though. We're looking to strengthen, not weaken but if it's a silly offer.....

I doubt Burnely will be paying that kind of money for anyone. They'll be prgamatic, manage their finances well and use the inevitable parachute payment to strengthen for another run at it.

...unless they're trying to do 'A Derby' (piss loads of money away in spite of the inevitable relegation and f***ing themselves up for the next year).

it would be a blow. Earnie is the kind of player who causes goals.

I thought that was Paul Smith

Irreplaceable at this level. All of our other strikers combined couldnt score half as many goals as a fully fit Earnie

Agreed. Imagine how much power upfront we'd have with Blackstock and Earnie working like a well oiled machine.

If we were to sell him, I think we'd try to make more profit than a measly £400k.

if we keep Earnie and Get Dexter, it will indeed be potent.

Without Earnie or Dexter  Mcgoldrick, garner and tyson? :brr:

We would be making a profit I guess and with 3 million we could get someone else in. But I would much rather see him stay because even though he had a disrupted season in a losing side he still managed to get fairly close to the 20 goal mark which I think is a pretty good acheivement.

I would be concerned if we didn't replace him though.

Urrrgh
how many times does a club (especially this one) sell a player at at figure i.e. £3m, and then immediatly buy a new one at the same value?

never.

I can't see us selling him unless he demands to leave. A fully-fit Earnie with a good strike partner and better service than last season could well score 25 goals.

He played a massive part in keeping us up last term and if we lose him I'll very disappointed.

i will be gutted if he leave, not many strikers in this league with his sort of record.

is teddy sheringham still playing?

A joke offer and I doubt Earnshaw now that he is settled and at a club where he is adored by the fans and not hated will want to move again.

So say Earnshaw had a amazing year scored 25 goals, your saying Tyson McGoldrick Garner Adebola & Blackstock if we signed him couldnt manage 12 between them? When blackstock scored 12 for QPR Garner got 8 or 9 McGoldrick got 14, Adebola got 10 and Tyson got around 5 or 6 i think. Last time i checked that was more than 12...

Minus his orginal signing on fee, minus last years wages, minus agent fees...

Well his wages are technically in exchange for his services, as is the signing on fee etc.. agents fees are a proportion of the transfer fee :p
