I have just been for a drink with a friend of mine who works for a firm of city financial consultants that look after high net worth individuals. He was telling me that they just got a new client, a Mr Nigel Doughty of New York – a certain owner of Notts Forest.

Apparently Doughty has asked them to look at his affairs to assess the extent he can liquidify over the coming 3 to 4 months. Although my friend doesn't know why Doughty wants to do this, when he told me I wondered if he's preparing a warchest?

Good Luck to Forest anyway, proper old team that deserve to back in the prem.
