Got to learn how to play certain types of games

Billy is right, having just listened to the interview - we HAVE to become better at dealing with certain types of games in the championship, such as Watford away on a tuesday night. He is correct, the first thing you have to be is solid, and not concede goals, especially bad ones, and then work from there. You have to compete and win the physical battle, and then you have a chance of winning the game. Yes, obviously probaly tiredness was a factor, injuries to lynch and breckin and all the changes in the team, and while we have a couple more players we still do not have enough squad depth, but aside from that, it is a lesson these players must learn (how to win away at these types of grounds). Players like Cohen and Perchy are just the sorts of players we could have done with last night. Incidentally, Burnley is another such one on Saturday (though they probably play more football than Watford, but are just as physical)

Maybe you don't have the players but Swansea and Donny for example managed to play football...

Ofcourse the pitch is poor and can be used as an excuse but still was pretty disappointed in your attacks considering the goal scored was well worked and taken.

Dead right horns.

We do have the players, but due to a combination of injury and surprising team selection they weren't playing. Watford well deserved the win last night, with the front two especially impressive. But that was far from the best that this Forest team can produce. Where we finish in the league will depend whether the last eight games see the team from last night turn up or that which played great against Preston and Swansea.

The pitch was dire last night. One of the worst I have seen. God knows how they can play on that every week.

Even our own players, fans and management don't enjoy it but the trouble is Saracens Rugby Club give us 500k a year in rent which is helpful in our current climate of being skint.

Ofcourse we are no angels but we were much more physical last season with Shittu and Henderson when we really were just hit and hope lump it up to the strikers.

Now we do try to pass it more..I accept there are better footballing sides in the league but even they will have some sort of physical presence to them.

You kind of answered your own point there.

Doncaster and Swansea are superior strength and fitness wise.

When we've competed with teams in that manner, we've then played ok football too and enjoyed good results. We're just not consistant enough and seem to forget and let teams bully us out of games.

Why was the pitch so poor?

Cos Saracens Rugby play on it.

Saracens used to play at Southbury Road in Enfield.

Until the land they played on was sold to make way for a cinema.

The man behind this deal.....

...step forward Nigel Doughty.

Oh the irony!

That is fantastically ironic! :)

Hold on, which cinema company bought the land?

Cineworld, you say....

So, indirectly, anyone who works for such an organisation has profited from Doughty's £?

Interesting! :)

Dunno - I was just pointing out that we used to have "ties" to Saracens. I have no idea who was behind the deal you mentioned.

Too eager to attribute blame to Doughty, Mr Flagman...

Gah! It's an easy mistake to make....a bloke in charge of Forest, doing ANYTHING with his money, his name's Nigel...I'm only human, and slightly senile!

Have I been stripped of my knighthood?

Rust, I think. Of course I couldn't speculate as to whether the rust was caused by bodily fluids or other substances.

Interestingly, there was once a school called 'Nork Park' too...a tale of Norks, Balls and Boys.

The Beacon School, Picquets Way is the predominant secondary comprehensive school in the area.
Nork Park (a public park which used to lend its name to the school itself) backs on to the rear perimeter of the school.

During the time that the Beacon was called Nork Park Secondary school, it was one of only two schools in the UK to supply ball boys to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Which it still does.
