Good news for Ale drinkers?

Not that it affects me, but what lagers would be sold?

Also, from experience, pulling real ale pints when the bar is ridiculously busy is a nightmare. It's slow and trebles the serve time per person.

Its still not real ale, but its a lot better than John ****ing chemical shit Smiths ... or lager, obviously.

Go to Dublin and see how they manage a packed pub with a drink that takes yonks to settle. With ease!

They just line ready poured pints up the back of the bar. The staff would be doing this in the 1st half and before kick off.

Forest should be serving ale from these good folks ...

You can prepour Guinness, as topping it up doesn't affect it.

You can't prepour a lot of other drinks, though.

If you go to the arena they pour six at a time, but never have a big amount sitting there waiting.

I'm not sure prepoured Ale would be a great idea. Perhaps having a real ale tent or something in the outside area near where the smoking area of the Main Stand should be would be a good idea.

I think there is a law that stops the pre-pouring of pints

Oh, they mustn't have the same law in Ireland.

Thinking about it though, the beer pouring machines aren't that quick are they. I'm sure they'd cope. Plus, the weedy teenagers would be toughened up by hand pulling a proper pint, their part time Forest job would turn them into beef cakes, ready to form the next generation of A block supporters.

I wonder how well kept this will be at the City Ground! Hopefully better than the lager.

Maybe they thought rather than try to cool the lager to a preferable temperature, serve a drink that isn't supposed to be cooled!

Ale and red wine will be all that's on the menu!

If it was nice red wine, none of this Blossom Hill Vino Collapso rubbish, I'd have that. I'd love to stand at the back of A Block having a half time glass of Pinot Noir.

king's in jail so i don't think anyone would have fallen for it

Plus he's changed his name, so unless we started selling Abu Hamza's Jihadi Hook of Death To Infidels beer, there's no pun to speak of.

Perhaps a Guy Moussi inspired Chateau Neuf Du Pape?

Would go nice with some half-time cheese and biscuits.

Add a bit of class to the City Ground.

It almost makes me want to see Bruce Rioch appointed as manager for some great wine drinking punnery!

The Green King IPA isn't hand pulled like real ales mate its on the normal pumps so as long as the club invest in some new 6 pint pouring machines that actually work we should be OK (Trent Bridge manage to shift a stupid amount of ale all day!)

They should serve it in bottles...much much quicker to get through the people waiting

That's one (of the many things) that always baffles me about the City Ground. Lots of other grounds serve bottled larger over the counter in the concourse yet in the CG all alcoholic drinks have to be poured out of a plastic bottles into a plastic 'glass'

That would be delightful!

Co-Op also sell the yet-to-be-tested-by-our-wine-club 'Chambers' wine.
