If we are paying 12m euros then we have lost our f***ing minds.

And I say that as someone who thinks he’s actually OK.

But we didn’t sign him three months ago. Why sign him now?

Reeks of panic.
 
He had some good games, then some poorer games. Just difficult to pinpoint what his strengths are so far -as both defensively and attacking he has not excelled. Doesn’t appear to have any outstanding strengths-unless I’m missing something.

I'd question if we were paying 12 million Floki or whatever that dodgy crypto sponsor is (That would be £1062 in cash btw) simply because he didn't do a hugely great job (Wasn't awful either) and we didnt sign him when we had a £8.5m option so signing him for more than we could have doesn't ring true.

Wonder if we've got a different target were struggling to get over the line and we're using Montiel as leverage given it wouldn't surprise the football world if we were in for him.

If we really wanted Montiel we would have finalised it weeks ago.
 
Why has no one like Percy, The Athletic or Fabrizio tweeted about it. We didn't want him back at the end of the season, why do we want him now?
I really hope this isn't true - There is way better RBs out there.
 
There’s a reason we didn’t pay the buy out fee at the end of last season.
He goes missing a bit too often to justify that outlay even as a back up option.

Not just goes missing as in is anonymous. He would literally go for a wander in multiple games and cost us goals.
 
Surely this can’t be true. He was crap last year and at that price there are surely thousands of better options.
